On any given day, you might find me capturing a sunrise from a mountainside at dawn or treating a patient in the Emergency Department. As an Emergency Physician, photography is my way of restoring balanceâseeking beauty in the raw, untamed corners of nature. My passion for photography began in grade school when I read about a photographer scaling the Empire State Building for the perfect shot. Tha
t story sparked a lifelong dedication to chasing and capturing fleeting moments of magic, no matter the effort required. For me, photography isnât about shortcuts; itâs about persistence. It means crawling out of a sleeping bag on a freezing morning, trekking through unpredictable wilderness, and standing for hours in harsh conditions just to capture one extraordinary moment. Like Emergency Medicine, it demands quick thinking, adaptability, and an appreciation for the unexpected. My work has been featured at the United Nations, in hospitals, public offices, private collections, and galleries from Laguna Beach to Miami. Sharing these imagesâand the effort behind themâhas been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. What sets me apart from other landscape photographers is my perspective as a physician. The high-stakes nature of my career makes me deeply appreciate the tranquility of the outdoors, not just as a retreat but as a creative force. Photography grounds me, translating natureâs beauty, serenity, and power into art that brings a sense of calm and adventure into any space.
