Nothing like record heat to kick off some cover crop spreading! ☀️🥵🌱

We’ve spent the past few days putting the drone to work spreading cover crop and definitely felt every degree of it.

Hot or not, it’s always cool seeing another way drones can help get work done efficiently and get seed out when it needs to go.

And yes… by the end of the day, 114° sounded about right. 😂🚁

Made it to my first Becknology Days yesterday and I was definitely impressed! 🌽🚜

There was a lot to see, from new technology and equipment to research and what’s coming next in agriculture. I also really appreciated how accommodating everyone was. There were a few tour trailers I couldn’t physically get onto, and they made sure I was still able to see and learn about what was being presented.

One of the coolest parts was seeing Beck's Hybrids facility in person and finally getting to meet a few people in person that I’ve gotten to know through social media and the ag industry. It’s always funny finally putting a real person to someone you’ve talked to online for a while! 😂

Overall, a great first experience at Becknology Days. I’ll definitely be back!

Pretty cool day today! 🎥🚁

We had Spray Drone Network come out to spend the day with us filming an upcoming episode for AcresTV !

We talked about how I got started in the spray drone industry, the story behind Albertson Drone Service, how we’ve adapted equipment and our operation to make it work for me, and how much this industry has changed since we got started.

It’s still pretty crazy to think that something I started back in 2020 has led to opportunities like this. I really appreciate Tanner and Mikaya for making the trip out and giving me the opportunity to share our story!

And that’s a wrap on fungicide season! 🚁🌽

It’s been a busy month and a half of long days, a lot of miles, plenty of acres, and keeping two drones moving — but we made it to the finish line.

Couldn’t do any of it without our customers trusting us with their crops and our crew putting in the hours to get it done. Thank you to everyone who was a part of another successful season!

Funny enough, this trend has pretty good timing… Spray Drone Network is coming out next week to film an episode about Kyle Albertson story and Albertson Drone Service for their show on AcresTV ! 🎥🌽

Never would’ve imagined any of this when I bought that first spray drone in 2020. Pretty cool to look back at how far this has all come — and we’re just getting started!

We’re nearing the end of our season. Spraying a corn maze and surrounding corn!

🚁 Day 2 of following along with fungicide season!

We split up today — I pulled out the old trailer and paired it with the new drone while the interns kept the big trailer running.

We even had to shut down for a little while when a crop duster started working overhead. ✈️ Definitely part of sharing the airspace during application season!

We’re getting close to the finish line with less than 1,000 acres remaining. 🌽💪

And excuse the audio on this one… apparently my microphone decided it didn’t want to work today. 😂🎤

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to Patriot Aerial Solutions for coming down and helping us knock out a few hundred acres today to catch up for a few down days due to weather. Nick is the president of Indiana Spray Drone Association
and I’m glad we get to serve together and have the ability to work together. We’re on the downward push of our fungicide run and are about to cross a huge milestone for Albertson Drone Service
