If you're ever in Edinburgh, Midhope Castle is an easy day trip. It's also part of many Outlander-related tours, and the history of the home itself is worth looking into!

We only visted Burg Eltz once, and I'm kicking myself for not having better photos of it. Hands down one of the NEATEST castles we visited, even though we only made it there once. Three families lived and ran this castle together, and the history is, of course, fascinating.

When I make it back to Germany, this one is a must visit again.

On April 16th, 1746, the Bonnie Prince Charlie led the Jacobite's into battle against the British government.

The battle, however, was over within an hour, with almost 2,000 individuals on the Jacobite side (mostly Scotsmen) losing their lives, and essentially putting an end to the Highland Clans.

Culloden is a solemn place, and as you walk through, it's as if you can feel the ghosts rising from the field.

Well, it's been almost a year since I have posted here ... yikes! I've had *a lot* of life changes in the last couple of years, and am not really doing lifestyle and portrait photography as much as I used to.

However ... I have recently *finally* gotten around to editing thousands of photos I took on many of my travels, with the hopes of finally doing something with them. It seems a waste to not share them, so I'm shifting gears. I may do portrait photography again in the future, but my current situation doesn't allow for many clients.

So, feel free to follow along and share as I go through all these wonderful memories, and enjoy as I share new ones created! My goal is to eventually have some of these up for print orders, so ... be on the lookout!

I am so privileged to be surrounded by bad ass women in my life! Including this lady right here, who started a business out of her home, and has turned it into two successful locations. I was honored to visit her just outside of St. Louis this past weekend, and we took well over a thousand photos of her, her shops, her amazing team, and her products!
