Providing on location photography sessions- families, children, newborns- along with special occasions/ events- graduations, engagements, parties, etc. Since I was 8 years old, I've known:: the click of a camera’s shutter has set my heart aflutter. And the passion really ignited in me when, for hours, I would sit mesmerized as my grandmother would dig through her photo albums, recalling intimate stories of my relatives in the faded pictures. At 12, I just knew…photography would be my passion to share with the world. I’ve made it my mission to find the beauty in every soul I photograph, inspired to be a storyteller of lives, one click at a time. Photography is cathartic for me; I learn something new about myself every time I release the shutter. To share the finished images with my clients…well, it’s the ultimate reward! So now that you know my Superpower is my highly contagious passion for photography, let me ask: what’s the one thing you can do today that your future self will thank you for? I had the privilege of photographing the Simpsonville Area Chamber A-List awards Thursday night, and I wanted to share that Curlygirl Photography also won - for the 4th time!- the 2026 A-List Award for Minority-Owned Business from the Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce! 🏆

I am beyond grateful and honestly a little emotional writing this. Every newborn snuggled, every senior portrait, every family story I’ve had the honor of capturing — that’s what this award represents. It’s not just a trophy, it’s YOU. My clients, my community, my fellow Chamber members who show up and cheer each other on.

📸 World Photography Day feels like the perfect day to dig into the archives.

This one’s from November 2011 — Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe. That little stone tea house perched on Fannette Island has been watching over these waters since the 1920s, and honestly, even 15 years later, no filter needed. Just light, water, and mountains doing what they do best.
This is why I chase moments like this — because some views remind you of why we pick up the camera in the first place. 🌲💙
