And the passion really ignited in me when, for hours, I would sit mesmerized as my grandmother would dig through her photo albums, recalling intimate s

tories of my relatives in the faded pictures. At 12, I just knew…photography would be my passion to share with the world. I’ve made it my mission to find the beauty in every soul I photograph, inspired to be a storyteller of lives, one click at a time. Photography is cathartic for me; I learn something new about myself every time I release the shutter. To share the finished images with my clients…well, it’s the ultimate reward! So now that you know my Superpower is my highly contagious passion for photography, let me ask: what’s the one thing you can do today that your future self will thank you for? It’s to create your most memorable portraits with me as your photographer! Naturally, I draw my Superpower energies from carafes of coffee, soft fuzzy animals-especially cats!-and feasting on the latest food fads with my husband and friends. Our community is small enough that I instantly knew it was Nancy Gil walking by the gallery open door this afternoon. “Why of course, I’d love to see you studio!” It was her first time seeing the space and we enjoyed catching up with each other. I love where I live!💗

She wasn’t waiting for the “right” moment. She was just here — mid-laugh, mid-flowers, mid-summer evening — and that was enough.

We tell ourselves we’ll document it later. When the nursery’s ready. When we’ve lost the weight. When life feels a little less chaotic and a little more “camera-ready.”

But this sweet family didn’t wait for later. They said yes to their now — a few weeks before their family grew by one more sweet soul— and now they have this. Not a phone photo buried in a camera roll. A portrait that will hang on a wall long after this exact moment has passed.

Your “right now” is worth celebrating too. You don’t have to wait for later to become an heirloom. 💗💙

Happy 250th, America! 🇺🇸
Two hundred fifty years of a story still being written. From backyard barbecues to front-porch fireworks, it’s the little moments — the ones you don’t think to frame — that end up becoming the memories we hold onto the longest.

Grateful to call Simpsonville home and to spend this day doing what we love: capturing the moments that’ll one day be somebody’s heirloom. Here’s to the next 250 — may they be just as full of stories worth telling.
