This is Rhoda Reinhold Stipe, my paternal grandmother. I took an old photograph of her and attempted to create something that looks like an oil painting.
Rhoda taught kindergarten for a little over 40 years. She had a way of helping me feel connected in a way no one else ever had. Maybe it was the years of handwritten letters and $20 checks. In any case, I hope I've created something that honors her memory. I sure did and do love her.
