It's been some time since I've posted on this page but will you look at this babe?!

I've truly had the most darling newborns in the past months!!

This little lady and her parents were just so wonderful!! I'm always feeling blessed to do this job and give parents images of their teeny babies they'll look back on for years to come!

Just heading on into a new school year and wondering where the summer went?!

Oh, don't get me wrong, we definitely had fun!! We stayed in town and hit all our usual summer activities (library, zoo, museum) but we did manage to try a few new things too! Taking the kids to their first Ranger game and a trip to the Stockyards for a train ride were two of those!

What about you?! What's your favorite way to summer??

You know one fun thing about family photos?!

They're unpredictable.
They're sometimes hilarious.
They are full of REAL moments.

Like this one here! I love it so much. 🥰😆

I think families with multiple (or even one!) kid know that littles will throw unexpected curveballs at you. They'll be happy as a clam one minute and flipping over the wrong color cup the next.

I love this photo and families that can embrace the joyful chaos that comes!

I know in years to come, you'll want to remember these moments too.

Ooooh those squishy baby cheeks!!

Having a baby means getting to kiss your little babe about a million times a day! Isn't it just the BEST thing?! I always think so!

We've had some big kid news over in my family with a first lost tooth and giving my baby a haircut before Easter! I'd love for time to slow down just a bit but I'm loving these fun milestones too!

What?! It's me, I promise!

Yes, this color lover is posting a black and white!

If you go to my photos, you'll see I post very few (I'm just so drawn to color) but at the same time, there are a few photos that I come across while editing and I know instantly that I want them in black and white.

My editing decisions are based off of skills I've learned over the years, but there's a whole lot of heart that goes into it too...some images are just felt differently and therefore need to be edited differently.

That's the best way I can explain it! If you're a black and white lover too, please tell me before your session! I'm happy to put more than I normally would in b&w for you. I want images on your walls that speak to your heart and make you smile when you walk by.

What do you think?! Do you lean color or black and white?!

Newborns sure look tiny when you lay them down in their big crib!!

We used a pack n play in our room with all our kiddos for quite a while but it's definitely fun seeing what they look like in their sweet nursery.

Are you going to welcome a second babe this year?

Or if you have more, how did your big kid(s) feel about the new baby?

My first son was pretty indifferent when we brought our daughter home. He'd stop by to pat her every now and then but we don't have any photos with her holding her. He'd just run off...2.5 year olds have a lot to do after all.

With every new baby, the bigger kids have shown more and more interest and I love seeing their relationships and how they interact with each other now! Sometimes it's even too much love as they try to pick up and cart the baby around the house. Ha!

Siblings are such a gift though, right?! A buddy they'll have for life!

Well, I rang in the New Year with the flu, and then I blinked and it's almost the middle of January!! Goodness!!

My kiddos went back to school yesterday and we're finally getting back into some routines!

How about you, slow start to the year, or did you hit the ground running?!
