Logo / Favicon / Alt Logo
When it comes to a ābrandā, youād be surprised how intentional design can help you feel aligned with your business and keep you grounded.
For a long time, it felt like I would float from one trend to the next, trying to match my art to what everyone else was doing. It left me feeling confused, intimidated, and burnt out.
So let me introduce you to a few new branding elements and the WHY behind them.
-Name: Madison (government name ha) Corbin (middle name) Photography was born in 2017. I thought I might get married one day, so why have to file extra paperwork with the state to change my business name down the road? I already had two perfectly good names.
-Logo: clear typography with all lines anchored at the same width. This helps with design versatility and readability.
-Favicon: designed to be round for web sharing, this is a more compact version of the alt logo with consistent typography.
-Alt Logo: arguably my favorite; easy to recognize and anchored by a line (or a boundary, hello?) with a blend of round and straight elements.
Colors: oatmeal color represents me, Madison aka Maddie. The dark color is actually not stark black but slightly brown-leaning, like my husbandās hair color. The rust orange is a tribute to our wedding color (& pumpkins iykyk). The blue/green/gray reminds me of our boysā eye color currently⦠and gives flexibility for if they change in the next few months.
Typography: or in laymanās terms⦠font. A bold sans-serif to represent a more confident brand. We are sure of ourself. We know what we want, and thereās still a little room to play. Follows by a classic sans-serif, Poppins, because we all need a trusty typeface in our back pocket.
Want an intentional brand kit? Send me a message- I am taking on a handful of small businesses to simply help them feel more aligned with the core pieces that represent them. Giving a new meaning to āeverything happens for a reasonā. And thank you for reading this far lol.
