Gemini Designs Photography Every photograph has a story because every encounter is unique. I don’t chase perfection—I chase a feeling. The glance, the light, the moments most people miss.

A walk through Eagle Marsh.

I went out looking for whatever the evening had to offer, and somehow came home with a little bit of everything—wildflowers, grasses, golden light, and an unexpected little visitor along the way.

Nothing spectacular. Just one of those outings where you slow down, look around, and realize there was a lot more there than you noticed at first.

Saturday Morning — Continued

I wasn’t quite finished with this morning.
There was still more light, more fog, and a few unexpected moments waiting to be found.

And apparently… a few more photographs I couldn’t leave behind. 🤍

Watching the morning come alive.

The fog slowly lifted, the light began to change, and the landscape revealed itself one moment at a time.

I could have stayed there all morning. 🤍

There’s something about a morning like this.

Soft light, quiet skies, and five silhouettes passing through at just the right moment. 🧡

You just have to be there when the light decides to show off.

Yesterday, I shared what the light was doing in the sky.

Last night, I watched it reach the earth.

I wish I could say I created this in editing, but honestly… the sun did almost everything.
I just happened to be there to see it. 🤍

The light found its way through.
And for a moment, I forgot everything else.
I just stood there and watched. 🤍

It feels like being in the middle of becoming something while still carrying everything that came before.

The bloom is still there, still reaching, while the dried flowers and seed heads stand around it as reminders of what has already passed.

Still blooming. 🌼

Yesterday’s walk through Shoaff Park turned into a little mushroom hunt. 🍄

I kept finding them tucked away in the grass—some fresh, some weathered, some barely recognizable as the same kind of subject.

I moved around, got low, followed the light and photographed what caught my eye.

Fourteen images from one small part of the park.

I finally got my first American Kestrel! 😊🤍

It perched on this old snag long enough for me to get a few frames. I was farther away than I would’ve liked, so the detail isn’t quite as sharp as I’d hoped—but I’m still really happy to have captured it.

Not every photo has to be perfect. Sometimes it’s enough to finally see the bird you’ve been hoping for and come away with a shot.

This evening, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

A patch of purple blooms.
Monarchs drifting through the evening light.
Bees moving from flower to flower.
And for a little while, everything just seems to slow down.

One of those moments I was happy to simply witness. 🦋
