There are parts of you that no one sees—not your best friend, not your husband, not your sister, not your own mama. You are alone with the thoughts that race through your mind as you stand in front of that mirror. You take the makeup off, you stare into your own eyes, you take a deep breath and try to extend grace to yourself. But sometimes, you fail. Sometimes you hate yourself, scold yourself, shake your fist at your existence. I hear and see you—because I AM you.

CONFIDENCE.

Tonight I want to talk to you about what it is, and what it is NOT.

So many of you think that in order to book (or rock) a session, you have to have confidence first. You think you’ll find your confidence by waiting and hoping: waiting to lose or gain weight, waiting for a surgery, hoping to lose some cellulite, waiting to feel sexier, waiting to be in a relationship, waiting to like how you look in your clothes (or without them)—fill in the blank. You are just hoping one day you’ll wake up and feel CONFIDENT and SEXY AF.

But that’s just not how it works. HOPING IS NOT A STRATEGY. You need a PLAN. You can’t stake your confidence on losing weight, getting down to a certain jean size, or finding a good partner. And confidence isn’t something you ‘need’ before a session, either.

Confidence will find you in the middle of doing the hard thing that you thought you couldn’t do. Confidence is finding security within yourself—it’s feeling like you no longer need to play the comparison game, but standing tall in who you are. It’s being kind—it’s sharing your light with others, because you are sure of what you have to offer.

I can help you find your confidence, even amongst your fear. I can help you feel alive, even if you have doubt.

I can show you what it is to be totally free on the inside—if if you’ve been a prisoner of what ‘other people’ think for as long as you can remember.

But here’s the thing: you have to want it for yourself, as badly as I want it for you. Make a choice and always remember: the stakes are high, the rewards are great.

You love the idea of basking in new-found confidence, but the idea of taking some, most, or all of your clothes off in front of a stranger is seriously mortifying to you. And there is a CAMERA involved?! Yep, count you OUT—you already hide from those at barbecues and family Christmas and you are CLOTHED then!

Let’s don’t even get started on the idea of spending money on yourself—you already feel guilty enough buying yourself that morning Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Oh, and then there is the idea of trying to make a “sexy face”....you’ve practiced in the mirror and are prettyyyy convinced that ‘sexy’ is not in your destiny and no WAY will you be caught dead trying to LOOK sexy.

The advice I was always given when faced with something that seemed overwhelming was: “You wanna know how you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.” It’s the weirdest quote, but makes so much sense! This logic has carried over into how I run my business and how I prepare clients for what SEEMS like an anxiety-riddled roller coaster ride.

You’re scared to get naked? Good, me too. I get it! So that’s why we start SLOW. We start in the outfit you feel the least like you want to puke in. We listen to fun music, we take dance breaks, you watch me trip over things, we tell each other our secrets, you watch me do the poses for you. Before you know it, I’m the girl you’ve known forever, and it gets SO much easier to get less and less clothed. TRUST ME.

You’re worried that spending the money on yourself isn’t possible, or even worse—that you don’t DESERVE this investment? I hear you, love. That’s why I created our Prepayment plans.

Lastly, lemme talk to you about the dreaded sexy face. I pose EVERYTHING about you—down to how you breathe. I show you where to look, where to put your hands, how to arch, it’s ALL so easy when all you have to do is listen to the sound of my voice!

It is my JOB to remind you that once you book your experience, it’s time to focus on having FUN with it—I know the unknowns are scary, so let’s sit down and eat this elephant ONE BITE AT A TIME.
