I recently renewed my volunteer membership with NILMDTS (Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep), and I'm honored to be entering my second year of service.
Over the past year, I've had the privilege of providing remembrance photography for one family experiencing the unimaginable loss of a baby. While that session was never easy, it was one of the most meaningful and important experiences of my photography career.
There are currently only 4 NILMDTS volunteer photographers serving the entire state of Georgia, and I am incredibly proud to help bring this service to the Savannah and Hinesville communities. I've already had the opportunity to work alongside the wonderful staff at Winn Army Community Hospital and would love to expand awareness to other hospitals and birth professionals throughout our area.
If you know any labor and delivery nurses, NICU nurses, bereavement coordinators, doulas, midwives, OB/GYNs, social workers, chaplains, or other healthcare professionals at Wayne Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph's/Candler, Memorial Health, Southeast Georgia Health System, or surrounding facilities, please tag them below or encourage them to reach out to me.
I would love the opportunity to share information about this free service, how the referral process works, and the lasting impact it can have on grieving families. Every family deserves the chance to have beautiful memories of their baby, and every healthcare team should know these resources are available.
Thank you for helping spread the word and supporting this mission. ❤️
