Everyone meet Chilla!! This boy is the true definition of a “Black Beauty!” 🖤 He is a true stunner!!

Although his looks and bark can be intimidating, he is a total sweetheart. He’s one of our shelter favorites 😍

Now that we have all admired his beauty, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. Chilla has been with us since December 18, 2021. Let’s look at it this way… that was:

•1 Year, 3 Months, 3 Days ago
•15 Months ago
•65 Weeks, 4 Days ago
•459 Days ago

This is no fault due to Chilla. Chilla is a black pit bull mix. We all know the stigma around black dogs and how hard they are to be adopted, then he has the added (I would call it BONUS- if you ask me!) feature of being a pit mix. We also know how bad of a rap pit bulls/pit mixes get! This is totally unfair to Chilla- he is an AMAZING BOY!!! We love this guy with all of our heart and we only want the best for him. He is our longest resident and as you must know, 500 days is coming up soon and ALL Chilla wants is a family of his own, a place to call home and a warm couch to snuggle up on. This boy has spent his last 2 Christmas’s at the shelter, celebrated his New Year’s- 2 Years in a row in a kennel. This is absolutely heartbreaking for him and for us. We want to find Chilla the most amazing home, he deserves it. We know there is someone special out there for him and we want you to share this post to help find his forever person! 🖤

HELP MILES! We need this post to blow up. This little guy is in need of extreme medical attention and we need to find his owners AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you recognize this dog at all, please message us, call us at 479-551-2221, or come to the shelter at 4800 S 46th St. here in Fort Smith.

He was found at the stairs sitting alone at the apartments on N 18th St. PLEASE help Miles find/get a home that will save him ❤️

Join us this Friday and Saturday and come find your forever best friend. We need your help more than ever, we are beyond capacity and busting at the seams. We currently have close to 350 animals. You can help by adopting a pet during the National Adoption Weekend!

Facebook community we need your help!! We are in dire need of fencing. We are looking for used fencing so we can have a 10x10 fenced in area for some of our doggies to get out and play some outdoor activities!
