I don’t just love the beach for family portraits. It’s also one of my favorite places to unwind and enjoy where we live.

This past Saturday I was at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park when this incredible iridescent cloud appeared over the ocean. Of course, I couldn’t resist getting a photo.

Florida really does give us some pretty amazing skies. 🌈☁️

I spent over a decade photographing horses before moving into portrait photography, and building this side of my work feels a little like coming home.
There’s a quiet kind of connection between horses and the people who love them that I’ve always been drawn to photographing.

There was something a little magical about this evening.

An empty stretch of beach, warm water, and two people completely wrapped up in each other.

With their wedding coming up this fall, it felt like the perfect excuse to slow down, laugh, and simply enjoy being together before all the excitement of the months ahead.

Wind in her dress, bare feet in the water, and the kind of moments that feel playful, romantic, and completely their own.

Such a beautiful chapter to capture before they say "I do."
