ALAN: has spent many years behind video and still cameras. He was
trained as a Graphic Designer, whilst creating corporate and music
videos, before turning all of his skills and attention to his passion in
Life...Photography! Alan loves the fact that a photo takes the viewer
back to that exact point in time. That the once-in-a-lifetime images he
creates with his subject, will be looked at for many years to come,
enabling the happy couple to pause and reflect on that very moment on
their own VERY Special Day. BETZY: is not only The British Photographer's 2nd Photographer,
she's also an Officiant, Wedding Planner, Designer...and a wonderful
human being to be around (as all our Couples will testify). She is one
of the driving forces at The British Photographer, and is often to be
found lending a helping hand on the Big Day, be it helping the Bride get
her train into the limousine, emergency outfit repairs, or a timely
towel or umbrella for the Bride and Groom at beach weddings. We believe that expensive equipment does not make one a good
Photographer... but it certainly helps when the chips are down, and that
'once-in-a-lifetime' wedding moment calls for more reliable,
professional kit! We use Pro cameras, and always carry spare batteries,
spare memory...oh...and BIG umbrellas! (well... it IS Florida after

Alan studied Graphic Design and Photography at college, in his home city of
Manchester, England. Over the years, he developed his passion into a living, and
then into a career. He shot and produced corporate and music video's, whilst
shooting still Photography for a variety of clients and subject-matters. Some years
ago, Alan was invited to shoot a wedding with a colleague, and he was hooked! Having
met, and married his American sweetheart Betzy, Alan found himself living on the
shores of SW Florida, USA. Betzy's creative and Business talents, were combined with Alan's... and The British
Photographer was born! Now a well-established, and rapidly flourishing Wedding Photography business, Betzy
and Alan are taking The British Photographer into other states of the USA, and on
into the International arena!
