I’m Zack, a Fort Myers based photographer with occasional guest appearances in my home town of Asheville, NC. I started off college focused on computer science, then did a complete 180 and switched my major to exercise science. After graduating I did personal training and managed gyms in various parts of the country for a few years before getting an opportunity to go back into tech doing tech sale
s. I grew up taking snapshots with disposable film cameras, later digital point and shoots, and eventually just my phone. Then during the pandemic, I picked up a proper camera to better pursue the hobby and found myself dedicating more and more time to it. When my time in tech sales came to an end, I knew it was time for change. I wanted a job that let me be happy and let me be my authentic self. So, with the support of my closest friends, family, and my indescribably wonderful wife, Sarah, I took a leap and started Zack Howell Photography. My unconventional journey to photography inspires the philosophy that I approach shoots with. I want my clients to feel what I experience when I'm photographing them and capture moments where they feel free, happy, and confident as their authentic selves. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me spending time with my gorgeous wife, Sarah, and our two dogs, at the gym, gaming, or local breweries wherever we go!
