When it’s a long weekend, we play! 📸

I recently added a small studio to my home, and I’ve been dying to put it to the test. Of course, my daughter was the perfect model! Here’s one of my favorites—just adding to the ever-growing collection of senior photos I’m capturing of her this year. I’m capturing it all, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

A little sneak peek from this gorgeous senior session! It may have been one of the hottest nights of the year, but you would never know it—she absolutely stunned, and we captured so much beauty in that dreamy evening light.

Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to describe it. 🤍

My middle girl is officially a SENIOR, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around how we got here so fast.

Last night, she modeled for us at our local Gathering, and of course, I couldn’t resist grabbing my camera and capturing a few images.

I’ve photographed so many seniors over the years, but there’s just something completely different when it’s your own girl standing on the other side of the lens. 🥹

These are just a few little sneak peeks from last night… with so much more to come. I have a feeling I’ll be documenting this girl every chance I get this year.

Senior year, round 2, here we go! And I’m going to do my very best to soak up every single second of it.

They say you can see a person’s character through their childhood photographs… and I really think there’s some truth to that.

Looking through mine, I see that I’ve always loved tools, beaches, boat rides, ranch life and family!

Honestly, not a whole lot has changed.

Maybe that’s part of why photographs have always meant so much to me.

They don’t just show us what we looked like at a certain age. They remind us who we were.

And sometimes you realize that kid is still very much a part of who you are today. ❤️

I’m not interested in simply creating more files for families.

I want to help families decide what deserves to become tangible.

What belongs on the wall.

What belongs in the album.

What photograph will stop you in the hallway ten years from now because suddenly that tiny little kid is 17.

That, to me, is where photography becomes something bigger than a session.

If there is one thing I hope every family chooses to invest in, it’s photographs.

Not because they’re beautiful to hang on a wall—although they are.

But because one day, they’ll be all that’s left of this season of life.

Life changes so quickly. Children grow. Parents age. Families evolve. Some people move away, and eventually, some leave this world altogether.

But photographs have a remarkable way of keeping those moments alive.

Years from now, you won’t remember what your family session cost. You won’t think about whether your hair was perfect or if everyone cooperated that day.

You’ll simply be grateful you have something tangible to hold onto.

A photograph isn’t just an image. It’s a memory. A feeling. A legacy.

It’s a way for your children—and someday their children—to see where they came from, how deeply they were loved, and who helped shape their story.

So if you’ve been waiting for the “right time,” this is your reminder:

Never a dull moment with these guys! 😂 .

I had an absolute blast helping Jake Ajemian from the Jake and Speed create content for his intro on the Dude Perfect tour with Shayne Boyle! Never in a million years did I think something we filmed on my back porch patio would end up on a giant Jumbotron… 😂

There is truly never a dull moment with this crew, and I’m so grateful to have been a small part of it. If you get the chance, go follow them and check them out on the dude perfect tour!— (only in select cities) you won’t be disappointed!
