Thurston 911 received a call from someone who reported that he and his friends could hear a male yelling for help down a hill in the 14400 block of State Route 507 in Yelm near George Road.

City of Yelm Police Department was dispatched and advised by the caller that the male was wearing a Civil War uniform and identified himself as Thomas.

Washington State Patrol’s plane Smokey responded to the area to help guide units to the location in the forest, and they have since made contact with him. It sounds like it will be the missing subject who was last seen on September 5th.

It was reported that he is dehydrated and S.E. Thurston Fire Authority is checking him out now.

Bald Hills Fire Department and Washington State Department of Natural Resources responded to the Four Corners fire today, Aug 26th. Watch duty reported the fire at 2 acres.

Aug 6: 4:15PM - Just north of McNiece Loop SE, a fire spreads from an RV into the foliage toward the border of JBLM. S.E. Thurston Fire Authority, Bald Hills Fire Department, and East Olympia Fire District 6 respond according to Thurston Co. Scanner, News, & Weather Blog. As the fire climbed the hill behind the property, crew cut through the barbed-wire fencing to gain access to the area. Just as flames reached what appear to be 20+ ft, crews knocked it down. As of 4:45, it appears to be contained.
