I was told I would not have children. Doctors said no.
But God.
Of all the things I’ve fumbled. Ways I’ve disappointed. Broken. Failed….
I live in a way that always prioritizes creating women
who will Do better than me,
Love Christ & each other wholly.
We are a healing group / Family and today, although
I miss my mom.
I miss my aunt.
I miss certain family relationships
But just the same, I won’t miss any ounce of gratitude that these amazing humans chose me to be their mom.

Happy Mothers Day ✝️💐 to….
grief stricken, single, married, young, praying for, new, empty nester, elder, amazing aunties, pregnant, foster, far removed, unappreciated, adoptive, bonus, step, worthy, care giver, doing your besters.

Yes, I’m still a whole adult. A very happy one at that. 😉

Our monthly luncheon was today & a surprise tribute happened for Harmoni!
She’s a girl who loves to help, pray and serve.
She looks forward to each gathering and having that heart to make everyone feel seen & welcomed, she began greeting every guest & writing every name tag, at every single luncheon.

Today, was her turn & they honored her heart & consistency... And it was really special! ❤️

The Greek word “katargeo “ means “to reduce to inactivity”
Salvation renders sin powerless.
But we gotta choose daily to live in that freedom. Praying & taking our norms & our thoughts captive, bringing them to God. We need a hard reset!

There is a war in our bodies.
We don’t change until we’re tired. Until we’re hurting & trauma filled. Meanwhile we’ve truly had the way to overcome this whole time…. Jesus.

• want love in your life, Jesus.
• want true freedom, God provides.

If there’s any New Year Resolution to make, it’s to trust him more than ourselves ….. cause if we’re honest, we’ve been mishandling ourselves & each other for a hot minute now.

When Noalani graduated HS she didn’t know what she wanted to pursue.
Her path was looking pretty different than some of her peers & her sister which caused her a bit of worry.

We encouraged her to attend BC get her associates and let life unfold. Grow out of some thing’s and walk confidently into new ones.

Well, she walked the stage & received her Associates!
She is continuing more confidently towards a bachelors degree w/ an interest in law. Shes passionate, driven & has a heart for art & people. She loves deeply & creates intentionally. The truth is your purpose will choose you! So just do all that you love w/ a heart posture rooted in Love & Christ and it’ll work out.

My beautiful mother & baby, me.
I think this was the day of my baptism. I never recalled seeing this photo until today 11/14/24. My Tio Edwin is in Puerto Rico fixing his home and found himself going through old photos.

He texted it to me. And I’ve been staring at it since…. I felt like I guess I should post it.

When people we love leave the world. We suddenly have some parts of our memories lifted and all we can recall are the very best parts of them. Isn’t that crazy?
Because mostly, while we’re here; alive, we hold hurts & offenses over people.

I pray that instead of cutting people off and acting like they’re dead to us, we really think about it…. Like if they were actually dead, the issues would become small. Their ways, suddenly worth the extra prayer. The visit, less argumentative and more ehh, it’s not a big deal maybe…. and maybe just maybe we’d be so flooded with the best memories that we’ll forgive each other while we’re still here & able. Maybe….

She was such a deeply wounded & completely loving woman. The greatest parts of me & all the surviving love that has fueled my bones are because You are my mother.

Posting our amazing moments & thoughts.
We… I, like to be liked.
Even if some of us boldLu say otherwise.

This is not really truth.

Having grown up in critical environments, I realize I see what’s wrong before I can see what’s right. What’s good.
What’s true even at points.
About myself & about others.

I found myself in church “amening” a good word while thinking about others:
“Ohhh so-&-so does that.” “I wish him or her would be here to hear this” completely missing areas that apply to me.

We put our best selves on the forefront and carry shame in private;
we condemn others publicly and yet admire in private.

In honesty, I’m that Christian praying for heart change daily. Praying for new thoughts. New words. New grace.
Mid-sin… I’m praying!
I can be listening to praise music while simultaneously annoyed by folks driving. (oh Lord I’m sorry 🫣)
Knowing his truth doesn’t instantly change hearts.
Not our own or anyone else’s.

Keep it 100, I’m in my hypocrite season. Because Im continually trying to change my actions when Gods not yet done with my heart.
I want to be transparent.
It’s necessary to share what’s not so perfect in me so that later thoughts &/or shares never make me seem *holier than anyone else. This is a process … a hard one!

If I intend to share my faith, (which I do)
I must share this journey.
If I intend to share what God says is just than I can’t justify myself as steadfast.
Guys, I am a pretty self sufficient woman, but I promise you there are things I’m learning and doing now, that I absolutely cannot accomplish without God.

“Father God, I am so grateful that I am not enough. I am so thankful I don’t have to fake it till I make it.
I am glad that in my weakest parts, Your power is made perfect.
Help me boast all the more gladly about my weakness today so that Christ’s power may rest on me. May restore me and use it for your glory, for your good and to soften hard hearts to the grace only you can give us. Amen.”
