I believed in Jesus my whole life. Church most Sundays. I knew about Noah’s Ark, David & Goliath, and Jesus feeding the 5,000.

I thought that reading more than that was for pastors or scholars. The rest of it was confusing.

There was a moment where someone prayed with me in a parking lot. It was so strange, because it was outside church service and it wasn’t before a meal.

I didn’t realize there was more to Jesus. Many Christians are close to the same spot.

At the same time,

So many young adults are coming to know Christ. Studying scripture gets hard.
1-1 prayer is inconsistent.

I know because I lived this. This app was born out of my own struggles building a relationship with God.

We built this app for studying scripture. The goal is making accountability fun, and making it easier to understand its original language.

It’s also for structured prayer.

I caught myself saying “I’ll be praying for you man” and after one prayer, the thought is lost in my notes app.

I also get distracted in my prayer. I lose focus on who I’m talking to. Having cards to shuffle through with verses to read in alignment with my supplication is helpful.

There is a ton of other features.

We might add some, remove others. We want your help testing out the beta version.

Last night every scripture I’ve been thinking and writing about came together suddenly in this poem.

It’s for everyone who wants to know Him, but struggles with fear, pride, grace, and love.

The answer is getting to know Him. It’s scripture. We must read his scripture.

A life better than you could dream of is in getting to know him.

“Knowing Jesus” - Benjamin Stelter

There is no way I could write this in one night. He is the Author!

I wrote this poem as I hiked up the highest mountain in Manado Indonesia. Mt. Klabat 🇮🇩

SO to my Indonesian brother untitled 🤞🏻

Even though they didn’t have great language, we prayed before the climb, and at the top.

When solo traveling, being with God has been a lot different. Picking up trash after myself, learning a few words in a new language, or appreciating His creation, Imago Dei, has been my form of worship?

I also read Isaiah this month, and sitting on this idea of Gods church being like a stain glass window. I first wrote down the idea for this poem months ago.

Each member is broken and dead in sin, but when His light shines through, we’re made into a New creation, with His spirit- people can see Jesus as we carry his image.

Right now I’m in Japan, where there is an ancient art of repairing broken pottery with powdered gold. It’s not repair, it’s a new creation out of something broken.

Maybe I’ll write a poem in each country I visit 🤷‍♀️

That’s all for now 🤙
