Vivid View Productions

Vivid View Productions Artist and photographer here to make you smile and laugh. A dark art photographer based out of New Hampshire, who loves to laugh, eat & travel.

Sarah is a drone portrait artist exploring the beauty she sees in the darkness in life. Where others might feel tension or discomfort Sarah feels a peace and ease when delving into subjects like fear, anxiety and death. Her upbeat personality and bubbly laughter often take others by surprise as being so far from her work which shows you can appreciate the darker side to life and not be a dark person yourself.

This portrait came about in a simple way. While my hand was painting the child, she told me stories in her native language, teaching me to listen to her words. In a very subtle moment, the young girl looked directly at me, and it was in that instant that I was able to photograph the strength and bea...

I have felt a world away lately. The holidays, family, finances, it all makes you want to run and hide. I’ve shot 4 concepts recently that did not pan out and while I have shared my failures in the past I wasn’t inspired by them this time. More like defeated. So I began to paint and play with color and texture differently than I have in the past and I’m falling in love with a new medium. So much so I plan to unveil never before seen works at my solo show in March!
But this past week I finally sat down and created a piece that felt right. Taking a scenic shot from my morning walk and turning it into a background, I wanted to reimagine my Queen of Nothing as a young girl. What was she like before she was Queen? Who is it she was hiding from and how can she still be so regal? If you don’t know the Queen scroll to the next photo and introduce yourself. What is it she hides behind her mask? What of her emotions and her face? Whatever hiding we do or masks we wear to make it through the rest of the year do it with the grace and confidence of a Queen.

You know you’ve found the perfect person to collaborate and work with when you can sneak in a 5 minute shoot between lectures and photos at a conference and it turns out glorious yet again.
Special thanks to for finding the location and posing us so quickly! She is a joy to work with and to know.

I have been traveling a lot over the past month, collaborating with fellow creatives, kicking off my residency with , transporting art 1,400 miles and hosting family visiting colleges. I am truly looking forward to relaxing into the rest of the year and taking stock at just how much my life has changed in 1 year.
I realized today, after I said goodbye to my brother, niece and nephew, that there is no place I would rather be. A quiet night at home listening to boats go by or the long walks in the southern sunshine have all been the things I never knew I needed. 1 year ago I was packing up my house in NH, selling all of my furniture and preparing to embark on an adventure full of risk and riding on loads of hope. I had no real idea what my life would be like but can honestly say that I wouldn’t change a thing. The art and inspiration has been so good for the soul I wonder how it is I ever lived without it.
This piece is my 1 year transformation, from the lonely woods of NH to the vibrancy of the sea. I cannot not wait to see what the journey brings next and how my art with live and breathe in the way I’ve always dreamed it could.
