A postcard from Romaaaa 🇮🇹
I just got back from a trip that was equal parts business and pleasure and on the drive home, after a long, overstimulating travel day, I got into a fender bender that honestly shook me. For a moment, I thought my daughter might be without her mom… and my couples without their photo/video/hype girl. But God is good I’m here, safe, and so, so grateful. Thank you, Jesus. 🤍
Wedding season always feels a little bittersweet. I’m endlessly excited to capture such unique, beautiful love stories but at the same time, I can get swept up in the fast-paced, go-go-go rhythm of it all. I’m learning that it’s not just about capturing memories for others, but allowing myself to live and create my own… without guilt.
I don’t see weddings as just events. I see them as the coming together of two people who have been shaped over time—through love, heartbreak, family, therapy, healing, trust. Every detail in the room is beautiful, yes but what’s even more powerful is the community surrounding them. The people who helped write their story. The ones who witnessed the struggles, the growth, the little wins. All there to celebrate this chapter.
While in Italy, I stepped into the oldest little vintage photobooth like, she was OLD old. I didn’t realize how long four minutes could feel until I stood there waiting… and waiting. The photos themselves took less than a minute to snap, but almost six minutes to develop.
And it hit me
the best, most meaningful, most iconic things in life don’t happen instantly. They take time. 🤍
