This past Saturday morning it was a balmy minus 14 degrees so I headed to the Hudson river to see if I could find some steam fog. Sure enough, the opening of water produced plenty with the below zero temperatures. As the steam covered the trees it froze onto them instantly. The sounds coming from the river were like none that I have heard before as the water was making all kinds of noise almost as if something was coming right at you then suddenly moving away from you, this sound was quite loud. Mother nature hard at work.

Went out to photograph the fall foliage yesterday as the conditions were perfect for a day of photography, nice and overcast with some detail in the clouds. By the time I got to my second stop it started raining making for some what drab conditions as the distant colors become muted, but I tried making the best of it.
