I'm incredibly humbled and honored to be featured in The New York Times Styles article by Sakeina Syed.
Since starting my wedding photography business a few years ago, I've been fortunate to photograph some incredibly rad couples in pretty wild locations. I'm so thankful for the couples who've trusted me to capture their most intimate and important life moments. Every couple deserves to have a purposeful wedding day experience where the day's attention focuses on what matters most to their relationship. For some couples, that means including activities like rock climbing, mountaineering, camping, scuba diving, or hiking. For others, it may look like having an intimate winter wedding with a small dinner reception at a cabin in the Rockies. There's no one way to have a wedding, and during my photography consults, I prioritize creating space for my couples to dream up new traditions for themselves. Being a part of the planning process makes it that much more special when their big day finally comes—I get to photograph them naturally interacting and supporting each other while doing an activity they love together.
There are some incredible stories of couples who dared to do something different for their wedding day in this article. Check it out for some inspiration. If you're reading this and decide to plan a unique wedding day or vow renewal for yourself and your partner, I'll be here, ready to capture it!
How far would you go for your wedding? These adventurous couples trekked to Mount Everest base camp, skied down the Rockies and swam in the Cozumel Channel to say “I do.”
