I'm incredibly humbled and honored to be featured in The New York Times Styles article by Sakeina Syed.

Since starting my wedding photography business a few years ago, I've been fortunate to photograph some incredibly rad couples in pretty wild locations. I'm so thankful for the couples who've trusted me to capture their most intimate and important life moments. Every couple deserves to have a purposeful wedding day experience where the day's attention focuses on what matters most to their relationship. For some couples, that means including activities like rock climbing, mountaineering, camping, scuba diving, or hiking. For others, it may look like having an intimate winter wedding with a small dinner reception at a cabin in the Rockies. There's no one way to have a wedding, and during my photography consults, I prioritize creating space for my couples to dream up new traditions for themselves. Being a part of the planning process makes it that much more special when their big day finally comes—I get to photograph them naturally interacting and supporting each other while doing an activity they love together.

There are some incredible stories of couples who dared to do something different for their wedding day in this article. Check it out for some inspiration. If you're reading this and decide to plan a unique wedding day or vow renewal for yourself and your partner, I'll be here, ready to capture it!

How far would you go for your wedding? These adventurous couples trekked to Mount Everest base camp, skied down the Rockies and swam in the Cozumel Channel to say “I do.”

Todays the day! M & B are finally tying the knot in Estes park today and I couldn’t be happier to capture their intimate day with friends and family among the snow and the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

In honor of their love, here’s a few shots from their engagement session in Golden, CO last year. Their dog Cassie came along and made this such a fun session to capture! 🐶

This is your sign to go for the pearl earrings.

C + A’s day was elegant, simple, and filled with just the right amount of beautiful details from the exquisite flowers to the pearls that dotted C’s shoes and ears.

These are video stills grabbed from footage I filmed while shooting for Amari productions last fall. I love the cinematic feeling of video stills. You can really feel the love between C & A in each of these frames.

Hey y’all, it’s been a while since I’ve posted here—I took a much needed break from social media posting to protect my mental health and focus on my clients experience during the busy wedding season. As this season winds down, I’m excited to share some of the magical moments I was lucky to capture for my clients this year.

I also want to let you all know I’m officially booked for the rest of 2022. However, my books are open for 2023 and I’ve still got some availability for elopements, intimate weddings, engagements, and couples sessions. Head to the link in my bio to check out my pricing and services and feel free to DM me with any questions!

Do you know what makes White Sands National Park so rare???

These special dunes are entirely composed of tabular gypsum grains—a relatively rare constituent of sand.

This location is truly unique as very few other places on earth have the right climate and conditions to support Gypsum sand.

If you're thinking of eloping in the desert, White Sands is a rare and unique destination you won't find anywhere else in the US! If you're not super familiar with New Mexico but have always wanted to visit, I've got plenty of recommendations to fill your dream adventure in the land of enchantment!

This is still one of my favorite elopements I’ve had the pleasure of shooting! Everything about it from the gorgeous mountains surrounding Telluride, to the low-key, yet elegant way J and N wanted their day to be, made me so happy to help them plan and document their elopement. You can learn more about this day, how I found this epic location, and what a sample elopement timeline looks like at the link in my bio!

Pretty little things ✨J had so many gorgeous details she incorporated into her Telluride elopement day. I love capturing the litttle things as they help take you back to that day and the anticipation you felt before seeing your partner for the first time on your wedding day.

Here are my tips for making sure you’re details get captured properly on your day! 👇

1. Gather your details ahead of getting ready and lay them out for your photographer. You can include things like your jewelry, vow books, both partners rings, ring boxes, letters from family or each other, invitations, shoes, hats, sunglasses, perfume bottles, lipstick, and any other tiny details that are important to you.

2.Don’t forget to bring a nice hanger for your dress! This one is often overlooked and it’s important to have if you want photos of your dress hanging! But don’t worry, I always bring a spare in case you do forget one!

3.Ask your florist to include a few loose stems for your photographer to play with while staging your details!

4. Your partners details are just as important! So have them hold off on getting dressed right away, so your photographer can borrow their tie, cuff links, watch, vow book, shoes, and ring too!

Despite the cold, & were all smiles playing in the snow as they hiked to Dream Lake in snowshoes. ⛄️

Eloping in the winter during an off season can be a great opportunity to find seclusion in otherwise crowed National Parks like Rocky Mountain. We hiked from Bear Lake through Nymph lake all the way to Dream lake and only saw one other pair of hikers. We had this whole magical winter wonderland to ourselves and it was such a treat to see these two have so much fun in the snow!

Some golden hour sun flare magic to brighten up your Monday ☀️

👉Pro Tip: What you don’t see in these photos are all the other people who were at this same spot in Yosemite at sunset. Sunset time in scenic areas tend to be more crowded and less secluded, so I actually don’t recommend having your ceremony at sunset if privacy is super important to you.

Instead, I like to build enough time into each elopement day to allow for space to hike to a more secluded area for your ceremony. This usually happens earlier in the day a few hours before sunset or it could even happen as early as sunrise (which is typically way less crowded than sunset). Then I like to make sure there’s a break in the day for you and your partner to take a nap and rest up before continuing your celebration at sunset where we’ll focus on taking in the views and getting your bridal portraits.

I always help with timeline planning to make sure you don’t have to worry about the different factors that go into each part of your elopement day. I’m always taking into account what you want to get out of your day and what you value most, so I can craft a timeline that helps bring your elopement day together without any stress. If you really want to elope, but you’re not sure where to start planning, be sure to contact me at my link in bio. I do so much more than just photograph your day—I also help you plan what your elopement day will look like and give you the resources you need to make it happen!
