Film Friday from the heights of Salkantay Pass 🇵🇪

Peru has a way of changing you — one steep climb, thin breath, and impossible view at a time. The mountains here don’t just challenge your body, they challenge who you believe you are.

Every step outside your comfort zone asks something of you. But somewhere between the struggle and the summit, you find the reward: strength you didn’t know you had, gratitude that hits deeper, and a reminder that the hardest paths often lead to the most unforgettable places.

Forever in love with Peru, film photography, and the kind of adventures that leave you completely transformed.

Someone is excited for summer break!

It has been so rainy and depressing here the last few days and the forecast shows nothing but rain for the foreseeable future.

Not to be super dramatic but if I don't get outside with some beautiful weather and may camera soon, I may just lose my mind.

Also, 36 weeks pregnant currently and tackling all the nesting and attempting to figure out what the next weeks/months will look like for us.

Just living somewhere between being super tired, lazy, stir crazy, anxious, super productive, and excited.

Happy Friday!

This week I am sharing this beautiful mountainscape from my backpacking trip across the Salkantay trail. I have long dreamed about visiting Peru and hiking the mountains and experiencing the culture and food that these lands have to offer. Almost 2 years ago, I took the leap with some strangers on the internet and backpacked high into these snowcapped mountains. One of our nights we got to stay in these amazing sky domes that showcased the amazing clear, starry night. It was a view that quite literally took my breath away 🤣 as I spent much of the night trying to catch my breath from the elevation.

The Grand Prismatic Spring gets its vivid rings from heat-loving microorganisms that thrive in different water temperatures, creating one of the most surreal landscapes in Yellowstone. Capturing it on film made the colors feel even more timeless.
