The anamorphic look is a really small portion of your gallery, but I think it is a really cool addition! This manual focus lens gives you the compression of a tighter lens, while also giving you more width in the frame which, in my head made perfect sense for the Chicago skyline!

My philosophy when directing portraits is to provide pretty minimal guidance to see how you and your partner naturally interact and then taking advantage of those little interactions.

Feels like I say this a lot but this idea is the best way to create a wedding and consequently a gallery and/or film that feels really authentic to you as a couple.

When you get your gallery back, would you rather look at a gallery of photos that you wrote on a list or a gallery of moments you shared with people you love?

I worked a wedding yesterday with a photographer who I had never met in person before until then, and he told me he was pleasantly surprised at how positive I was throughout the whole day based on his perception of me through Instagram. And honestly looking back at what I’ve been posting recently I can see how he would think this.

I think it was a really good wake up call for me and I really appreciated his honesty! You know, I am a unserious and sarcastic person but at my core I am absolutely here to be a positive figure. I’m a service-forward kind of person and an open book to anyone and everyone. I am the kind of person that will go above and beyond, but that’s probably not the impression that someone would get if they had never met me before.

Do I think that having a full sun ceremony is a good idea not necessarily, and I say that because I want your experience of your wedding to be great. I want to offer advice and expertise to improve your experience.

It’s more important to offer alternatives and solutions than it is to tear down an original idea. Do I have opinions on weddings? Of course I do. I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and I think about them all the time. The core of my business is to make your wedding day and your experience working with a photographer as easy, fun and stress-free as possible.

It’s important to remember that there’s no wrong way to do anything when it comes to your wedding. And in my opinion, the only thing that matters is optimizing your day to maximize your enjoyment. And if that means having your ceremony outdoors in the full sun, then it is what it is.

All I wanna do is support you and to do whatever I can to make sure that your experience of the wedding day is as best as it can be.
