When you book my Luxurious Newborn Session, the experience is not only about beautifully posed photographs of your baby. A big part of the session is dedicated to your family too, and I’ve noticed that these are often the images you come back to again and again when it’s time to choose your favorites.

And I completely understand why. THIS LITTLE CARD MADE MY DAY 🤍

After Kelsey and Bobby’s newborn session, I received this handwritten thank-you card, and I honestly didn’t expect it to mean so much to me. In all my years of photography, I’ve never received a card like this from a client, and in a world where we are constantly rushing from one thing to another, this simple gesture stopped me for a moment and made me genuinely happy. 🥹

Photography is my business, but moments like this remind me that there are real people, emotions, and connections behind every session I photograph. IT’S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I POSTED NEWBORNS 👶

It’s funny because newborn photography is still such a huge part of my work, even though lately I’ve been sharing more maternity and women’s portraits. Over the past few weeks, I’ve photographed some truly beautiful newborn sessions with the sweetest families, and I realized it’s finally time to show them here too because these tiny, fleeting moments deserve to be remembered and shared. ✨

Just as a little reminder, newborn sessions are best booked around two months before your due date so I can reserve space around your delivery. The session itself is ideally done between 10 and 21 days after birth, when babies are still extra sleepy, curled up, and naturally settle into those soft newborn poses so beautifully. 🤍

GROWING LOOKS DIFFERENT AT 20 THAN IT DOES AT 40 🤷

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how much my life and business are changing at the same time. 🙈

A few years ago, I thought growth meant having everything perfectly planned. Now I think it looks much more like trying things before you feel fully ready, allowing yourself to evolve publicly, and accepting that confidence usually comes after action—not before it. 💜

This season, I want to become more visible. I want to speak more on camera, share more of my real life, and stop waiting until everything feels polished enough. I also want to create work that feels deeply aligned with who I am now, not who I was years ago when I first started photography.

And honestly, some of these things still scare me a little. Speaking Reels in English. Showing up more personally online. Building something bigger while still balancing motherhood, business, creativity, and everyday life.

But I also know something else: hiding has never moved my life forward. So this is my little reminder to myself that growth can look quiet, imperfect, personal, and still be incredibly meaningful. ✨

YOU DO NOT NEED TO ARRIVE CONFIDENT FIRST 😎

So many women think they need to feel completely ready before booking a session, but the truth is that most of my clients arrive nervous at the beginning. 🤷 They worry about posing, about how they will look, and about whether they will feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is exactly why I create the experience in a way that gently guides you through every step instead of expecting you to already know what to do. 🩷

One of my favorite moments during a session is watching that nervous energy slowly disappear as someone begins relaxing into the process and seeing themselves differently. By the end, the same woman who walked in unsure is often the one looking at the back of my camera saying, “Wait… that’s actually me?” ✨

One of the biggest fears women bring into a session is the feeling that they will look awkward because they do not know how to pose, where to place their hands, or what to do with their expression. 😬

The truth is, I never expect you to know any of those things, because guiding you through the entire process is a huge part of my job and one of the reasons you hire a professional in the first place. 💃

Most of the women you see in my portfolio started exactly the same way, convinced they were not photogenic or comfortable in front of the camera. Then, little by little, they relaxed, trusted the process, and saw themselves differently than they expected. ✨

One of the most common things I hear before a session is, “I’m not photogenic.” I think many women feel this way because we have become so used to noticing our flaws first, and by the time you arrive at the studio, you are already convinced the camera will only show the things you dislike about yourself. 🪄

But then something shifts during the session. I guide you through every pose and every little movement, and when I finally show you the photos on the back of the camera, I see that beautiful moment when you suddenly smile because you are seeing yourself differently for the first time in a long time. ✨

YOU DON’T HAVE TO FEEL READY FIRST 🦸‍♀️

So many women think they need to feel prettier, slimmer, more confident, or more “like themselves” before booking a session. And because of that, they keep waiting. 🫷

But the truth is, most women do not walk into my studio already feeling fully confident. That confidence often comes during the session, somewhere between being guided, feeling seen differently, and realizing they were far more beautiful than they believed.

You do not book a session because everything feels perfect. Sometimes you book it because one day you will want to remember this version of yourself with more tenderness than you can give yourself right now.
