As many of you know, I do not like editing photos and until now I've only used the basic windows editor... Most of the photos were just deleted if they weren't good. But now I'm trying out 2 new things, shooting in RAW format, and editing those in the free 7 day trial of Lightroom. It's got some pretty cool stuff in lightroom, but I have a long way to go in learning it. Mostly, editing sucks. I have to compare the output from a JPG from the input of a JGP yet. But right now I see the RAW file is nice and smooth and the edited version is grainy. I'll figure it out or I'll just have to become such an awesome photographer that I don't need to ever edit them..... Hah, I'll just go back to deleting the poor photos.

Sorry, 3 new things.... I actually was borrowed a much nicer lens than I have, so I was playing around with that and learning it's capabilities and drawbacks (Not many drawbacks). I like it. But it's not in my hobby budget yet.

Ok, this is my off time for taking pictures but Facebook keeps trying to remove me here unless I post something... SO I got out to the Swan Park in Monticello, MN today and got a couple pictures trying out the back button focus, but it was new to me and it was cold enough that my fingers didn't move right and I was shaking some... But, just to make Facebook happy and let me keep my spot here, I'll post an image or so.

I learned today that not all new things that I try work out well. (Ok, I knew that a long time ago)

I need to get out with the camera soon. I carry too much already for work so I don't want to add to it. But I see some really great shots while I'm out driving around...
