In this episode, thanks to our TACTACAM trail camera, we meet Calli, who conducts nighttime patrols to observe and protect our territory. What else has the trail camera revealed?

First in a series of episodes of what a trail camera outside a suburban Maryland home captures while the neighborhood sleeps blissfully unaware of what lurks outside.

On September 27, Paragon Studio helped out the Marine Trades Association of Baltimore County (MTABC) by capturing photos and video of their End of Season Crab Feast, held at Middle River Landing Marina. Paragon Studio used recently purchased equipment (gimbal stabilizer and mirrorless camera) in its quest to consistently improve what we can offer for our clients.

Paragon Studio was invited by the Union Mills Homestead management team to capture aerial footage for a future media project. This video focuses on the waterways — Big Pipe Creek and the mill race — that powered the historic 18th-century grist mill and shaped the daily life of the Shriver family for generations.

Historic Jerusalem Mill Village, Kingsville, Maryland, was built around a, you guessed it, mill, in 1772, by a Quaker millwright named Isaiah Minton and his partner David Lee. The mill (barely visible in the first photo behind the trees) is now the headquarters for the Gunpowder Falls State Park. During the Revolution, David Lee and his industrious Quaker pals made black-walnut rifle stocks for the Maryland Militia (precursor to the Maryland Army National Guard). On 11 July 1864, Confederate cavalry commanded by Major Harry Gilmor raided the general store (photo with rocking chairs on porch) and "requisitioned" horses, supplies, and perhaps some chewing to***co. The other photo is one of the few remaining covered bridges in Maryland, the Jericho Covered Bridge.

During the sunset prelude to the Fireworks Extravaganza, I captured some aerial imagery of Wilson Point, my launch site for my coverage of the Fireworks Extravaganza on Middle River, 5 July 2025. Which of these photos best capture the spirit of the event?

The Fireworks Extravaganza on Middle River reached new heights on 5 July. The planning, fundraising, coordination, preparation, and ex*****on culminated with a spectacular display over Middle River. Here are some of my best photo captures covering barge preparations (there were 3 barges) 4-5 July and the fireworks show. Special thanks to the Marine Trades Association of Baltimore County for its leadership and fundraising, Chesapeake Marine for logistics, the Baltimore County Police Department and its Marine Team for security on the ground and water, and Image Engineering for the pyrotechnic tour de force.
