Big life changes call for BIG family energy. 🤍✨

One kid’s off to serve, the baby of the family is officially a senior (how?!), the eldest son said “I do,” and the eldest daughter is out here teaching Pilates and living her best life. This family has been trusting me with their story for years, and when they said “make these the most beautiful photos we’ve ever had,” friends — I did not play around. 💫

This is exactly why my clients don’t go photographer-shopping after their first session with me. Once is all it takes. 📸

Life has a way of shifting all at once. 🤍

This family session with the Williams family was so much more than photos on a staircase — it was a moment frozen in time before everything changes. Their son is leaving to serve, their youngest is stepping into senior year, their eldest son is happily married, and their eldest daughter is out there living her dream as a Pilates instructor. Big transitions, big love, and a family that wanted to hold onto right now before it becomes “remember when.”

They asked me for the most beautiful family photos they’ve ever had — and after years of trusting me with their story, that request means everything. Inland Empire family, I see you growing and changing, and I’m honored to be the one capturing it season after season. 📸

Okay friends, I still cannot get over this one. 🥹✨

Last week the Torres kids hit me up with the sweetest request: photograph THEM — no mom in the frame — as a birthday gift for their mama. Just her babies being silly, being loud, being exactly who they are, so she could hold onto that forever. 💛

We took it up to the canyon for golden hour, got a little wild, laughed way too hard, and I turned the edits around fast so they’d be printed and ready for the big day. On her birthday, she messaged me and said these photos made her heart so full and one of the best gifts she’s ever received. And I told her straight up: I was just the artist. Her kids were the creatives. They thought of her. I just made it happen 📸

That’s what this work is really about, friends. It’s never just “a photo.” It’s someone saying I want to remember this, exactly like this, forever. Your family. Your kids. Your favorite person’s face when they open that gift. Life moves fast, and one session can freeze a moment you’ll have forever.

My baby is leaving for two years and I’m not okay. 🥹 But also? I’ve never been prouder.

Friends, I don’t usually bring my family onto this page... but I couldn’t keep these photos to myself. 💌

This is Troy — my fourth baby, all grown up and about to leave for two years to serve The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Starting next week, he’ll be **Elder Howell**, headed to the **Mexico MTC** before he serves the people of **Charlotte, North Carolina** — and the best part? He gets to go alongside his best friend, Trey Williams, who’s also answering the call.

Taking these photos was harder than I expected. Every click of the shutter, I kept thinking about how quiet the house is about to get. But then I look at his face — that smile, that excitement, that readiness to give two years of his life to serve other people — and my heart just sings. He has waited for this moment his whole life, and Mike and I have never been prouder.

Go get ‘em, Elder Howell. Charlotte doesn’t know how lucky it’s about to get. 🖤

This kid has been dreaming of serving others his ENTIRE life, and now it’s official — Trey has been called to serve the people of Honduras for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! 🇭🇳

Elder Madsen. ✨

This young man has been preparing for THIS moment his whole life — and in just a few short weeks, Jack is leaving everything he knows to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Washington DC area.

Two years. No phone, no social media, no “normal teenage life” — just service, scripture, and showing up for people he hasn’t even met yet. That kind of sacrifice? That’s not something you just decide to do overnight. That’s a lifetime of faith, of family, of quiet preparation leading up to THIS exact moment.

And can we talk about his parents, Jack and Bernice, for a second?? The pride radiating off of them right now is everything. Raising a son who chooses two years of selfless service over literally anything else in the world — that’s the kind of legacy that matters. 🥹

Our hearts are still SO full. 🩷✨

Mike and I had the honor of covering my beautiful niece Aubree’s quinceañera, and can we just say — what a night. From the dress reveal to the dance floor chaos to those in-between candid moments that nobody choreographs but somehow always steal the show, this celebration had ALL the feels.

Watching Aubree transform in front of the camera, watching a room full of family and love pour into one girl on one incredible night — this is exactly why I do what I do. Quinceañeras hit different, and this one is going to live in my favorites folder forever.

Golden hour + this sweet family = be still my heart 🥹✨

I am SO glad Kensie trusted me with her family’s photos this year, because these babies?? Those EYES?! I could not get over how blue and gorgeous they were in every single frame. 😍

This session was pure joy from start to finish — the laughter, the goofy little faces from the littles, big sister’s curls blowing in the breeze, and don’t even get me started on how dad looked at his kids the entire time. That’s the kind of love that doesn’t need direction, it just shows up. 🤍

This is exactly why I live for family photography season. Freezing these little moments — the giggles, the tiny bow ties, the “get me out of this outfit” faces — before they grow up on us? Priceless. 📸

The Yorke family said “let’s document another beautiful chapter” and honestly, did you really think I was gonna say no? 🥹💛

This session hits different, friends. Every single year this family trusts me to capture where they’re at — and THIS year? Whew. Baby Noelle is turning TWO 🎂, sweet Marlyn is growing baby #2 👶🏽✨, Jevaughn is thriving in his career, and even their pup is on the other side of a cancer battle they weren’t sure they’d win 🐾🙏🏽. That’s not just a photoshoot. That’s a family who fought for these moments and gets to celebrate every single one of them.
