Meet my friend Dr. Kay Miller! 📸✨

Kay is an amazing chiropractor with Miller Chiropractic, LLC right here in Fond du Lac, and we recently did a branding shoot and updated headshots at her office.

I loved how her branding photos turned out, but when I started editing the headshots, I just wasn’t happy with them. I had brought a white backdrop, and between Kay’s hair and skin tone, there just wasn’t enough contrast. She blended into the background more than I wanted.

So I reached out to Kay and said, “Can we try this again?”

Thankfully, she said yes! ❤️ We did a quick reshoot with a different backdrop and what a difference it made. Now we’re BOTH so happy with the final results!

Sometimes getting the shot right means admitting something isn’t working and trying again. My clients trust me to deliver images I’m proud of—and if I know we can do better, I’m going to say something.

Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

I hope you’re taking it easy and enjoying the day! I won’t be in the office today. Instead, you’ll find me canning tomatoes from my community garden plot, digging up potatoes, and hopefully doing a little floating on the boat. 🍅🥔☀️

Sounds like a pretty perfect Labor Day to me!

Whatever you’re doing today, I hope you have an amazing one!

With Sparkles,
Christine ✨

🍿 Don’t snooze on this place!

On my latest adventure with the ladies from The Wisconsin Explorer, we stopped at Pop’s Popcorn in downtown Fond du Lac!

Established in 2022, Pop’s Popcorn is a local, woman- and active National Guard-owned small business that also supports Fond du Lac County Veterans Service Office ❤️

You’ll find Caile and Javier serving up goodies from their adorable popcorn wagon in the parking lot by Hopper’s at 77 N Main St.

My official review? Some of the crispiest popcorn I have ever had! I literally had to close the bag and put it away so I wouldn’t eat the entire thing before I got home to share some with my husband. 😂

And apparently I’m not the only fan. My three dogs collectively give Pop’s a 4 out of 4 paws review. 🐾🐾🐾🐾 They would like me to note that they are available for future popcorn taste testing.

Along with their popcorn, you can grab caramel corn and slushies, too!

Another fun local business I probably wouldn’t have discovered without Brittany and Melissa dragging me along on their adventures—and this one is definitely worth a stop!

Did you know I don’t really like photos of myself posing with my camera? 📸

I know, I know… seems a little silly coming from a photographer. 😂

I’ve always preferred photos of me actually in action with my camera—photographing, directing, laughing with my clients… doing what I love.

But here I am. Posing. With my camera. And you know what? Maybe it’s growing on me. 😂

So I need your vote:

Photographer photos WITH the camera or WITHOUT the camera?

This is your monthly reminder to PRINT YOUR PHOTOS! 📸❤️

I just placed an order for 10 more photos to add to our refrigerator gallery, and I can’t wait to get them up!

Your favorite photos don’t belong buried in your camera roll with the other 12,487 photos you swear you’re going to look through someday. 😂 Get them off your phone and into your hands!

Here’s your challenge: Pick 10 photos and print them. That’s it!

And when you do, tag me! I want to see what memories you decided were worthy of a spot on the fridge, wall, desk, or photo album. ❤️

This senior session is a little bittersweet. ❤️

Max is the youngest of my friend Trish’s three boys, and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph all three of them for their senior pictures. How did we get to the youngest already?!

Max is also a good friend of my nephew Brady, which made getting to photograph his senior year even more special.

For the hunting portion of his session, we headed to his grandparents’ property—and it was absolutely perfect. Looking at these photos, you’d think we hiked deep into the woods to find the perfect spot. Nope! We were basically right in the backyard. 😂

It’s a great reminder that senior photos don’t always require an elaborate location. Sometimes the best spots are close to home—and even better when they have a personal connection.

Max, thanks for letting me be part of your senior year. And Trish...we made it through all three! ❤️

🐑🐶 Another adventure with The Wisconsin Explorer!

On Wednesday, the gals invited me along to check out Open Road Ranch and Open Road Upfitters.

First things first—if you don't know this about me already, I am an absolute sucker for dogs. And these two? Some of the cutest! ❤️ But I also want you to meet their humans, Julie and Troy.

Julie and Troy are a husband-and-wife team who take incredible pride in raising their sheep and pigs. I loved hearing them talk about their livestock because the amount of knowledge and passion they have for what they do is amazing.

I even learned a few things! Grass-fed lamb can be a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. And organ meats can contain higher concentrations of certain nutrients than muscle meats from the same animal.

But raising livestock is only part of their story!

They're also helping people live their best van life through Open Road Upfitters. We got a peek inside Troy's HUGE shop, checked out his 3-D printers, and saw some of the projects he's currently working on. The creativity and craftsmanship happening in that shop are seriously cool.

Two businesses. One hardworking husband-and-wife team. And two adorable dogs. 🐶🐶

Make sure you give Open Road Ranch and Open Road Upfitters a follow and see what Julie and Troy are up to!

🌸 The gals from The Wisconsin Explorer took me on another adventure yesterday, and this one was a flower lover's dream!

We had the opportunity to meet Jessica, owner of Shady Lady Acres in Eldorado. As someone who loves gardening, I was in awe walking through row after row of gorgeous blooms. Every variety was clearly marked, along with special cutting instructions when needed. You can truly see the love and care Jessica puts into her farm.

Brittany and Melissa were just as amazed as I was! 🌻 Their favorite flowers are sunflowers—which couldn't be more fitting for their bright, sunny personalities. They even learned how to properly cut flowers and created their own beautiful bouquets to take home.

If you'd like to experience it for yourself, Shady Lady Acres is hosting a You-Pick Flower Event this Sunday from 8:30–11:00 a.m. Check out the details here:
https://www.facebook.com/share/19a1EudUUq/

Not interested in picking your own? No problem! Jessica also has stunning, ready-made bouquets available in her farm stand.

Thank you, Brittany and Melissa, for always inviting me along on your adventures. I can't wait to see where we explore next! 💐

🔍 When you hire me for a branding shoot, you're hiring someone who notices the little things.

During a photo shoot, it's easy to miss a few crumbs on the table, a wrinkle in a shirt, or an object hiding in the background. That's where the magic of editing comes in.

As I edit your images, I'm carefully looking over every detail to make sure your final photos look polished and professional.

And on the rare occasion I miss something? Just let me know! I'm always happy to make adjustments.

Just ask the little gnome who was relaxing in the background of this photo... he did make the final cut. 😂

It's all about the details—and that's what makes a branding shoot truly shine.
