đź’™ A Little Life Update đź’™
I just wanted to check in with everyone. Bear with me for the long read, I apologize. đź’™
If you’ve noticed my page has been quieter than it used to be, I wanted to let you know that I haven’t disappeared, and I definitely haven’t given up on my photography. I’m still here, and I still love capturing life’s special moments.
Truthfully, these past several years have been some of the hardest of my life. I’ve spent much of that time trying to find answers for my health, going through countless appointments, tests, and finally receiving diagnoses while learning how to navigate a body that doesn’t always cooperate with me.
For those of you who may not know, I’ve been chronically ill since 2019. I had to stop working in 2021 after my health declined to the point where I was experiencing fainting episodes. Overnight, it felt like I went from being a capable, “normal” person to someone whose daily life became incredibly limited. For years, I saw numerous doctors, had endless tests and lab work, and still walked away without answers.
After changing hospitals and my care team, everything finally started to fall into place. A friend encouraged me to look into Dysautonomia and POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). My new doctors truly listened to me, took my symptoms seriously, and after years of searching, I was finally diagnosed with POTS along with several other conditions that help explain everything I’d been experiencing.
There isn’t a cure for POTS, but having answers has been life changing. I’m learning how to manage my symptoms, adapt to my body’s limits, and give myself rest on the harder days. It’s still an adjustment, and every year brings new challenges, but I’m doing my best to keep moving forward.
On top of all of that, my boyfriend and I recently experienced our very 1st death of our fur baby, our sweet senior cat, who had been part of my family for many years. Losing her left a hole in my heart & in our home that we’re still learning to live with.
Between everything life has thrown our way, my business naturally became quieter. While I haven’t had many photography sessions over the past few years, my passion for photography has never faded. If anything, picking up my camera to photograph the fireworks reminded me exactly why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Photography has always been more than just a business to me. It’s one of the few things that makes me feel like myself, and I don’t want my health conditions to stop me from doing something I’ve always loved. I just have to be a little more careful now and follow a few “rules” to keep myself safe. 💕
I want everyone to know that I’m still accepting bookings! Whether you’re looking for family photos, couples, seniors, engagements, or simply want to capture a special chapter of your life, I would truly love the opportunity to work with you.
If you’ve ever supported my small business, shared one of my posts, recommended me to someone, or simply followed along on this journey, thank you. Your kindness has meant more than you’ll ever know.
If you know someone looking for a photographer, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d keep me in mind or share my page. Every share, recommendation, and booking helps my little business more than you know.
Thank you for sticking with me through the quiet moments. I’m hopeful for what’s ahead, excited to create again, and I can’t wait to keep preserving memories for everyone!
With love & good vibes,
