Ever wondered what a home birth feels like?
Picture this...
Your family around you for support in the comfort and safety of your own home, your other kiddos excitedly awaiting the arrival of the new little sibling.
It's quiet, except for their little footsteps running in and out of the room to see if it's time yet.
Your husband fills the birth pool with warm water as the midwife arrives just in time for your to get in during active labor. You are championed through each contraction as you breathe your baby lower and lower.
You know each contraction brings you closer and closer to meeting your new little one! It gets intense but you reach down and feel baby's head. There's a full head of hair. You are seconds away!
One more big push...
You reach down and pull your baby out of the water all on your own and baby is officially here!
You count fingers and toes and notice theres a few extra! Bonus!
Your daughters are hoping it's a girl and your son is hoping is a boy!
Placenta is delivered a few minutes later and when your'e ready, you move to your own bed just steps away! The midwife checks you out and makes sure you and baby are well. And a quick check reveals its a boy! Your husband and son are extra happy and your whole family sits in the bedroom with you in admiration. What a day!
Your'e exhausted but those labor endorphins are strong and you just did that, Mama!
You and baby are healthy! It's gonna be a long night but your'e home and comfortable and theres smiles all around!
