Video Editor — Freelance / Per-Project

We’re a drone and ground media company based in Baldwin County producing content for construction, commercial development, marine, outdoor brands, and lifestyle clients across the Gulf Coast. We’re looking for a local freelance video editor to join us on a per-project basis with consistent, ongoing work. Likely to turn into a full time position.
Post-production is the most important step in what we do. It’s where the work either lives up to what we promised a client or it doesn’t. We take that seriously, and we need someone who does too.
This is a remote position — you edit from home and deliver files digitally. But local is a hard requirement. We want someone we can sit down with, walk through our style, and build a working relationship with face to face. Part of what makes a great editor for this role is understanding what we’re actually capturing — the environment, the pace, the feel of a job site or an on-water shoot. There will be opportunities to come out on location with us so you can see firsthand what goes into the footage you’re editing. When you understand what it took to get the shot, you edit it differently. Compensation for on-site time is something we’re happy to discuss.

What You’ll Be Editing
- Short-form social media reels (30 seconds or less)
- Job site progress and before/after videos
- Listing and marketing videos for marine and construction clients
- Outdoor brand and lifestyle content
- Occasional interview and brand story pieces

What We Need From You
- Color grading is an important part of this role. You must understand how to color grade log and raw footage — every delivery is expected to be properly graded
- Understanding of construction sites, job site timelines, and how to coordinate shots from multiple visits into a cohesive sequence
- Familiarity with social media trends — you need to know what’s performing on Instagram and TikTok right now
- 7-day or less turnaround from the time you receive footage
- Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro
— professional software only
- A portfolio of social media edits you’ve done. If you don’t have one, don’t apply
- Teachable, communicative, and able to take direction clearly the first time
