Stay Weather Aware this Weekend! We will keep you updated & updated on the club meetup as well!
9/30/26 5PM update: Rain chances will be on the increase starting tomorrow and especially into Friday and the weekend, where we could see multiple rounds of heavy rainfall. Currently, the most likely 4-day rainfall totals (Thursday through Sunday) look to be around 3 to 6 inches, with the highest amounts expected along the coast. Locally higher amounts up to 6 to 9 inches cannot be ruled out. Flash flooding may become a concern, especially over urban areas or if storms repeatedly move over the same locations.

Outside of the heavy rainfall potential, a High Risk of Rip Currents will be in effect starting Thursday and will linger through the weekend. For your safety, please stay out of the Gulf!

​The early days of Gulf Shores look completely different from the bustling coastal resort town we know today, but landmarks like the historical Callaway Cottages and Callaway Grocery remind us of the deep roots that built this community.
​Located about two miles down Fort Morgan Road, the Callaway Cottages sat right on Little Lagoon, offering stunning waterfront views and peaceful coastal living. Long before major high-rises lined the beach, the Callaway family played a foundational role in local commerce and tourism along the Alabama Gulf Coast. In the mid-20th century, Callaway Grocery served as a vital community hub for locals and early vacationers alike—a go-to spot for everyday staples, friendly news, and coastal hospitality. Alongside the grocery store, the Callaway Cottages and RV court offered simple, charming lodging and camper spots, capturing the timeless nostalgia of classic Gulf Coast vacationing.
​Preserving and sharing the history of Baldwin County keeps the legacy of these early coastal pioneers alive!

Gulf Coast Drone Club Meetup 24 was rained out unfortunately but that won't stop us from coming out to fly! We are excited to announce that we will have a Club Tent starting this week at the next meetup & it will keep us & our drones dry on these rainy afternoons!
