Working with Great Lakes Traditional Sprints this past weekend, I got to photograph a pretty stellar series of events 🏁📸

The series came to race on Friday at I-96 Speedway where Korbyn Hayslett won a heat race and the feature. Saturday, I worked with the series and went up to Silver Bullet Speedway where Hayslett won the feature race, again, and took the 2026 series championship. I learned two days later on Horsepower Happenings that he secured that championship just by taking the green flag Saturday night.

Accompanied by the action-packed racing that these nonwinged 410 sprint cars bring to the track, it was a pretty sick weekend at work.

Images from the final race night of 2026 at I-96 Speedway are ready! 🏁

This was an epic show, I can't believe to got to take images of all of these races on one night! It's hard to believe that this was the final night of the season. We crowned some champions, had the Great Lakes Traditional Sprints over for some fun, and welcomed the all-new Michigan Dirt Late Model Series - all in one night!

I definitely took way too many images...check out the size of the album with the link below, then report back here with your guess of how many images I left the track with on my memory card below.

Last night, there was a back to school fair at our local high school football field. As we roll up to park outside the stadium stands, my almost 3yo little guy sees it all and starts proclaiming "SPEEDWAY SPEEDWAY SPEEEEEDWAAAAY!!"
