Always a fun morning when the longhorns are out to hang out! (And SO Texas). The best perks of this job: meeting new people and being able to tell your families story through imagery that you get to keep forever.

Thank you to all of my long term clients and new clients. Thank you for every referral or something as simple as a like or comment on an Instagram post/story. Being a photographer and business owner is truly a rollercoaster. There’s lots of imposter syndrome and comparison. And yesterday was randomly an incredible day with bookings, inquiries, and referrals that reminded me why I do this! So just felt the need to say thanks for being here and for your support 🫶🏻

The best way to beat the heat. Granted these were before the endless 110 degree days this past month!! (So over this heat)

I love 6-7month old sessions. It is the sweet spot with babies where they usually aren’t mobile and they are just smiley and happy! And usually have some cute baby chunk ❤️

Home- the emotional space filled with love, family, and memories.

A simple Sunday morning: celebrating birthdays with donuts, making coffee with dad, airplanes in the kitchen, a kitty sneaking into pictures, capturing the new front garden you spent hours putting in, a baby who skipped his morning nap and parents just soaking it all in capturing their day to day in the place they spend the most time together.

Don’t strive for perfection with your photoshoots, focus on the real moments.

Earlier this month, I lost one of my little friends. I’ve been taking her pictures since she was one. This family have become dear friends of mine. And I truly feel honored to have known Presley and the light she shined on everyone she knew. This month I’ve been truly shattered and spending more time with my own kids and loved ones. Posting on instagram has felt too heavy. But I’m thankful this is my job, to capture pictures and videos of families for them to have and value forever. These little clips were just random ones I was playing around with on my camp snap video camera, never thinking they would be as cherished as they now are. Presley left us all too soon but what she taught me in her 4 years is to look forward to your next adventure, find joy in everything you do, and always over-accessorize. Miss you forever Presley, feel free to come be my photography assistant any time 🦋
