Russ Robinson Photography I’m a photographer shooting all types, from landscapes to macro! www.russrobinsonphotography.com Contact me via Messenger or my website for details.

As a musician, I’ve always been interested in art that can speak to people even without words. When the pandemic came to the US, I could no longer play in the local wind symphony and wanted to find a new way to speak through art and show the beauty that’s all around us: photography. I started taking photography more seriously about 11 years ago, when I traveled to Havana, Cuba, to play in the Hava

na International Jazz Festival while getting my Masters degree in music performance. After taking a decade-long hiatus and picking up the camera again, I’ve been interested in many genres of photography, from finding striking portraits and family photos to studying the world up close with macro shots. Music and photography both give me a chance to speak through art in a way that can sometimes convey more than words can. I am available for sessions and would love to capture great memories for you!

Look who’s back!

Still-life photography - now this is fun stuff! This was shot completely in the dark with a 15 second long exposure and light painted by me with a pen light - Courtesy of the at Fort Worth Camera! More to come, but I couldn’t help but share this one first, especially since I have some friends who are horn players 🙂

Yep, it's been too long since I posted, but spring is coming, so I'll be back soon with more macro for sure! But I had to pull out the camera to shoot the new Metagalactic Chonk d20 with a liquid core by Dispel Dice To say it's much bigger than a normal d20 is an understatement! 😍 Emily Robinson Thanks for the amazing Valentine's Day gift!

Sometimes we need a reminder. Whether it's bad lighting (I totally messed it up on this one) or something worse, we all need to be reminded that mistakes can be frustrating and feel awful, but they also teach us lessons.

The Maned Wolf, despite the name, isn’t actually a wolf at all! It actually falls into its own genus of canid separate from both wolves and foxes, and they are the largest of the South American canids. One thing that sets the Maned Wolf apart is that unlike wolves like the Mexican gray or American red wolf, the Maned Wolf is omnivorous, and one fruit, the lobeira, is such a big part of their diet that it’s referred to as the ‘wolf apple’.

They do not howl, but have roar-like barks instead - and you’ll know you’re in their territory because their urine smells similar to skunk spray!

Shot at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in the Intensive Management Area - they can be seen on the Behind-The-Scenes tour!

I've posted the black and white version before, but here's color version - which one do you like better? The lighting on this one just drew me in more to black and white - what do you think?

Well look at that! Both front and back covers and an inside feature! 🥰
