Here’s the thing: you probably don’t actually need a photographer.

You need to stop being the person responsible for making family photos happen.

You need someone else to figure out what everyone is wearing. To know what to do when your toddler decides pants are oppression. To notice when you’re worrying more about whether everyone else is having a good time than actually being there yourself.

You need to know you can show up in the body you have right now, with the family you have right now, and nobody is expecting you to magically know how to look effortless in front of a camera.

You need someone paying attention to the s**t you can’t see because you’re standing right in the middle of it.

The hand your daughter reaches for without thinking.

The way your baby still melts into your chest.

The look your husband gives you when you’re laughing and not paying attention to him.

And when it’s over? You probably don’t need 500 more photographs to manage, either.

You need help figuring out which ones actually matter.

Which ones deserve to become part of your home.

Which ones your kids might pull out 20 years from now and say, “God. Look at us.”

And maybe most importantly?

You need to be in them.

Because you are not just the person scheduling the appointments, buying the clothes, packing the snacks, remembering the things, taking the pictures, and making sure everyone else’s childhood gets documented.

You are the actual story.

So yes. I take the photos.

But what I really do is take enough of this off your shoulders that you can stop managing the memory—

and actually be in it.

We're looking for a Studio & Session Assistant to join our team. You'll work alongside me during sessions to film behind-the-scenes content, help manage the session experience, and organize session content after each session.

* Film and assist during indoor studio sessions, outdoor shoots & special events across St. Louis
* $20–$30/hr, based on experience
* Part-time, as-needed schedule — schedule & hours discussed in your interview
* Behind-the-scenes filming, hands-on session support & content organization
* Potential to grow into content creation & social media management
* Start date: September 16
