‼️‼️ EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY ‼️‼️
I will no longer be posting identifiable photos of children on my PUBLIC photography page, signed release or not.
On August 25, 2026, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit issued a ruling involving AI-generated child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The case involved a specific legal question regarding private possession of certain AI-generated images depicting fictional children, not permission to create or distribute CSAM.
But as a photographer, it made me think about something I simply cannot ignore.
AI does not always need a brand-new image to start with. Existing photos can be used, manipulated, and transformed into completely different and disturbing images. A beautiful, innocent photo of a child posted publicly can be saved by a complete stranger, and once it’s out there, I have no control over what happens to it.
With almost 9,000 followers on my photography page, I simply don’t know every person who has access to the photos I share. That alone is enough for me.
I absolutely love photographing children, but their safety will always come before growing my business, getting likes, or building my portfolio.
Families will still receive their beautiful photos and can share them however they choose. I simply will no longer post identifiable photos of children on my PUBLIC business page.
No amount of business growth is worth taking that chance with a child’s image. ❤️
