My Magical Month of May ✨📸

Being a photographer is such a fun thing to be because of all the incredible things you get to see. Looking back through May, I’m just completely overwhelmed by how much life, joy, and community I got to be a part of.

It was a beautiful, chaotic, action-packed, and slightly rainy blur of capturing the amazing people and places that make our area thrive. Whether it was shooting from above, tracking a golf ball down the fairway, or standing out in a downpour to catch a milestone moment, I loved every second of it.

Wow. I am absolutely blown away by the awesome support this past month! 🤯

Thanks to all of you, the launch of my Buy Me a Coffee page has been an incredible success. Every single contribution goes directly into fueling the work I do with Florence Unlocked and True Light Photography. You didn't just buy me quite a bit of coffee—your generosity also helped me pick up a new office chair that I am absolutely loving. It is literally supporting me through all those long editing sessions!

Because of this amazing community, I’ve also been able to pay that generosity forward. This month, your backing allowed me to support a few local artists and FMU alumni events, as well as give back to The Care House, House of Hope, the Humane Society, and the Symphony. It also helped me cover some exciting new endeavors for local businesses and support Kickball for a Cause earlier in the month.

👟🌊 Over 1,100 runners and one incredible morning on Sullivan’s Island!
The Floppin’ Flounder 5K Run/Walk proved exactly why it’s been one of Charleston’s absolute favorite local traditions for over 25 years. Presented by the Charleston Running Club (CRC) with awesome support from the Sullivan’s Island Fire & Rescue Department, the energy out here today was massive!
From the packed starting line to the racers pushing strollers down the course, the community showed out in full force.
Best of all, every step taken helps benefit the Sullivan’s Island Fire & Rescue Dept., CRC, and other fantastic local charities.
