Today, Purely Wild was a vendor in the Wh***ey Flats Fall Festival in Hawthorne, Nevada, and it was such an absolute success! Photos sold, photos ordered, and the compliments I've gotten on my photography are exactly what I needed because I was close to giving up what I love. Sometimes, all it takes is a compliment from a stranger ❤️

Could you imagine a town today just picking up and leaving? Only packing the essentials and leaving behind photos, groceries, furniture, dishware? What used to be a town bustling with life, now just a frozen memory and history lesson for the curious minds that are willing to do the drive. While it may seem sad to some, I love that they did. So that we CAN take the drive into the beautiful mountains to catch a glimpse into what life was like and continue to share it; a little bit of old into a world that wants nothing but new.

It's 1878, it's a beautiful sunny day, the streets are bustling with folks, you hear the distant booms of the mining life, and you are strolling hand in hand with your child to the store to gather the things you need. The price of butter was about 15 cents, sugar was about 10 cents, and your husband was making $3 an hour.
