Senior sessions are still in full swing! This sweet little lady came to me so excited to get her pictures done. She was nervous & she didn't know how to pose or what to do with her hands. I posed her from head to toe & she couldn't believe how she looked when I showed her her images! She was so happy she decided to go with me cause I helped her through the whole process of getting comfortable in front of the lens & posing. I got asked by my church to photograph the moms of our church on Mother's Day. I was beyond excited to do it...and then I realized that I would only have a couple minutes with each mom & her family! So while it wasn't my typical photography session where I take the time to get people comfortable in front of my lens so I can capture who they truly are once they are relaxed, I knew that I needed to make the most of the few minutes I did have. Each mom was so excited just to have their family altogether & to capture a quick image, I feel like they all showed up & were so happy! You can't put a cost on that. It's impossible.
Just like you can't put a price on the preservation of those memories- forever. We live our lives through the stories we share, and images captured will tell the stories for us. When was the last time someone captured your story? Give your children's children so much more to hold than just the words of their parents. Did you do it? Did you make the mistake of blinking? We've all done it. Often right after high school graduation- we did it. And all of sudden we were marrying our best friend. Then- we slipped up and did it again, and we were pregnant with our first child. We forgot again, and next thing you know we did that darn blinking thing again and we're in the middle of the carpool line and we look back and can't remember how we got here so darn quick. The truth is, you'll never have time. You'll never have more time than you do right now. You have to make the time and recognize that it will be infinitely worth it. Capture these moments, right now.
