There is a serene majesty when icebergs tower several hundred feet above the calm ocean surface.

This image was taken below the Antarctic Circle at the southern most point of my Antarctic adventure. These icebergs and the continuous sea ice beyond them prevented us from sailing closer to the bottom of the world.

What do you see in her smile?

While walking the around the Barkor in Lhasa, Tibet, this elderly Buddhist woman and I locked eyes. Like many traditional Tibetan Buddhists that I have meet, she was quick to share a smile.

I was immediately drawn to this young Tibetan girl and her mother when I visited the highest Buddhist monastery in the world on the north side of Chomolungma (Mt Everest) nearly nearly two decades ago.

When I asked to photograph them, the girl snuggled with her mother as I took a couple pictures. I was particularly struck by her intense and brilliant eyes gazing straight into me.

My daughter, who was only a bit older than this girl, instantly became her playmate sharing a bit of time playing with a stuffed animal.

I wonder what this girl, who is now in her twenties, has experienced in here life since the day we met. I would love to go back to this monastery again and see if I can learn her life story since that day.

I almost missed this little aspen sapling on my hike along the San Francisco Peaks. Something made me turn back, and I'm so glad I did. The way the snowflakes nestled in its branches was quietly mesmerizing.

Informed, progressive, diverse, committed, fearless true Americans came out in force in Flagstaff, AZ to communicate their deeply held opinions against trump and all of his UN-American republican enablers.

Flagstaff was part of nearly 7 million people across the country who participated in peaceful protests against maga/gop tyranny. This being the biggest single-day protest in American history! No Kings Day was 14 times larger than both of trump's inaugurations combined.

So much enthusiasm was displayed everyone with an amazing diversity of signs expressing a diversity of thoughts.

Let's harness this energy of dissent to change this country back to a Constitutionally based democracy.

NATRA's got a thing for tradition - and that thing is hosting the Hull Cabin aide station at mile 81.5 of the Stagecoach 100 Ultra race! 🏃‍♂️

And, of course, it wouldn't be complete without Neil Weintraub's hilarious impression of a runner... complete with a stomach pooch that's suspiciously similar to the one on the NATRA poster 😂.
