Another beautiful piece by another local artist to wrap up the week. For this fun little textile piece we floated it 1/8” above the backing mat board to separate and give some depth to the piece then wrapped the whole thing in a Very Dark Violet molding

Customer brought in this original painting on wood by local artist Emma Gardner and wanted it to hang inside this beautiful stamped metal frame from Mexico they have had for some years

Nothing about this job was standard and everything had to be done completely custom. Custom frame spacers and backer to hold the painting, shadowbox walls from the green velvet mat, lots of R&D figuring out how to stick everything together, but we got there and the result is amazing!

One of the really fun parts about truly custom picture framing is the problem-solving aspects and figuring out how to make everything work, especially when using non-standard materials

Loving this incredible painting, but it was quite a journey to get to where it is now…

The artist brought us this painting which he had rolled up in his suitcase while traveling from Australia, to say that the canvas had developed some “character” would be an understatement. We placed the painting under large steel weights for a few days before re-stretching the canvas. Finally, we mounted the whole thing in a beautiful maple float frame from Studio Moulding and couldn’t be happier with the result.

We gave a fresh life to this beat up old cowboy print. It came in having seen better days, ripped and torn. A quick trip to our dry mounting press took care of all that. Added a textured fabric mat and a frame reminiscent of a lasso. These Cowboys look good as new!

The painting of Chaco Canyon looks amazing in this Kota Walnut frame from Studio Mouldings and the good fillet really helps the warm light pop out of the painting.
