A couple of years can change so much. ❤️

It was so good seeing this sweet party of 6 again and getting to capture how much their children have grown since our last session together.

They picked the perfect early spring, and the blooms at the beautiful Fruit of the Spirit Garden at The Grove Church made the sweetest backdrop for updated family photos.

One of my favorite things about photography is freezing these little moments in time before another season passes by. The babies grow, personalities change, and somehow the years move faster than we expect.

Summertime is the perfect time to update your family photos, and my calendar is beginning to fill with families wanting to capture this season together. If you've been saying, “We really need to schedule pictures,” this is your sign. Send me a message and let’s get your family session on the calendar before summer slips away.

Nash is officially ONE Happy Camper 🏕️🐻

He celebrated his first birthday surrounded by woodland friends, cozy campfire fun, a teepee, and the sweetest little adventure-filled moments. From playing with “firewood” and exploring the pine straw to inspecting his smash cake with his toes 😂. Every photo captured the curiosity, wonder, and joy that make this stage so special.

And of course, having his big sister join in made these memories even sweeter.

These tiny hands, little expressions, messy toes, and playful moments are the things parents never want to forget, and honestly, they’re my favorite kinds of memories to capture.

Happy 1st Birthday, Nash! 🎂🌲

This Memorial Day, I’ve found myself reflecting on someone very special to me, my Uncle Hubert.

Growing up, I knew him as the funny uncle with a squeaky, playful voice who loved teasing all of us kids. What I didn’t fully understand as a child was the weight he carried from his years serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

In an interview published years ago, he shared pieces of what he witnessed after joining the military at just 17 years old with his father’s permission. Assigned to the U.S.S. Wasp, he served in both the European and Pacific theaters, escorting supplies through the Strait of Gibraltar and enduring intense battles against Japanese air squadrons and naval fleets.

He witnessed some of history’s most defining and heartbreaking moments, including Iwo Jima and Hiroshima.

He spoke of the horrors of war, the sights, the sounds, and the smells that never truly left him. While he survived and made it home to his family, so many others never had that chance.

As we enjoy time with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, may we also pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy every day. They are the true heroes, and their sacrifice deserves to be remembered with gratitude and honor.

❤️🤍💙

Sunday Stillness 🤍

“Time, be still…”

Just days after graduation, it’s hard not to think back to where it all began.

Many moms celebrating their seniors this week can remember a moment just like this, their own child turning one.

Sweet Nash, sitting in his little teepee, completely content in his own world… a quiet reminder to slow down and soak in the now.

Because these moments don’t last… but they stay with us.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.” — Psalm 127:3

And even as they grow, that truth never changes.

I still tell my now 21-year-old what a joy he is to me 🤍

What’s one moment you wish you could pause just a little longer?

Same time, next Sunday.

Over the past two weeks, seniors from BCHS, ECHS, FHSCCA, Master's Academy, and even college graduate sessions from Valdosta State University have filled my camera and my heart.

I wanted to honor each graduate one more time this season and simply say congratulations.

Each of you has your own story, your own gifts, and your own path ahead, whether that’s college, the workforce, technical school, or chasing a lifelong dream.

Thank you for trusting me to capture such a special season in your lives. It has truly been an honor.

Wishing every graduate the very best in the journey ahead ✨

Holden | Echols County High School C/O 2026 🎓

Congratulations to Holden, who graduates this evening from Echols County High School!

Here are a few of my favorites from his senior session, captured on a family farm in south Lowndes County. As you can probably tell from the photos, Holden feels right at home outdoors, especially when hunting and spending time in the country.

I still remember taking his photo when he was around 6 or 7 years old, and he still has those same big brown eyes.

Holden already has his future plans set and is preparing to enter the highly in-demand lineman field. It’s always encouraging to see young people stepping into careers that serve and support so many communities.

We wish Holden the very best as he begins this next chapter!

Congratulations, Holden ✨

Jacob | FHSCCA Class of 2026 🌱🎓

Congratulations to Jacob, who graduates this Saturday!

Jacob serves as FFA President, the second FFA President I’ve had the honor of photographing this senior season, and he truly has such a gentle spirit.

During his session, he shared his plans to continue his education at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and study Horticulture. With a smile, he told me he’s “the plant man,” and honestly… I love that.

One of my favorite parts of photographing seniors is hearing about their passions and career goals, then watching those interests continue to grow over the years.

Jacob, we wish you the very best as you begin this next chapter. Congratulations!

Lily | Class of 2026 ✨

I could tell at the beginning of Lily’s session that she was a little unsure about having her photo taken.

But after the very first shot… I knew.

I knew this was going to be a special session.

When I looked down at the camera, my first thought was “Snow White.” Such grace, softness, and natural beauty. In one of her headshots, I even caught myself thinking she resembled a young Elizabeth Taylor.

The name Lily is derived from the Hebrew word “Shoshannah,” meaning “lily” or “rose,” and is often associated with purity, beauty, and spiritual significance—and she truly embodied that throughout her entire session.

Lily will graduate this Saturday and plans to follow in her mother’s footsteps by pursuing Early Childhood Education. She’s already working in the field at a daycare, and it’s easy to see the kindness and gentle spirit that will make her wonderful with children.

There were so many beautiful moments from this session that it was hard to narrow them down.

Congratulations, Lily! Wishing you the very best in all that lies ahead 💛
