Originally from Georgia, I’ve called Texas home since 2013, exploring its most unique and diverse landscapes, from rugged deserts to starlit skies. While Texas fuels much of my creativity, my love for adventure often takes me beyond the Lone Star State, especially to mountain ranges and the occasional beach. I’ve been behind the lens for as long as I can remember, but my journey in photography truly took shape in 2018, evolving into both a craft and a way of life.

Light pollution sucks! The 3 types are…

🌆 Skyglow - that orange haze over the horizon
💡 Glare - harsh lights that kill your night vision
🚪 Light trespass - light spilling where it doesn’t belong

Most people will never see a truly dark sky.
Not because it’s gone—but because we’ve lit up the night.

✨ They connect us to something bigger than ourselves
🦉 They protect wildlife that depends on natural darkness
🧠 They help regulate our sleep and circadian rhythm
📚 They’ve guided science, stories, and exploration for centuries

And yet—most people will never see a truly dark sky.

This is why places like Big Bend National Park matter so much and making efforts to reduce and reverse light pollution.

This week is about more than stargazing.
It’s about remembering what the night is supposed to look like.
