I don’t even accept arms or legs, only cash or card 😩 but seriously, this kind of stuff keeps me awake at night. 🫪

Photographer pet peeve of the day: “ISO a photographer that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.”

Listen. 😂 I completely understand having a budget. I understand that professional photography is not something everyone can afford all the time.

BUTTTT the wording gets me every time.

Y’all will spend $200 a month on DoorDash, have a collection of 47 NeeDohs, and spend $8 on a coffee everyday without blinking…

But GOD FORBID a photographer charge a reasonable amount for years of experience, thousands of dollars worth of equipment, hours of shooting, editing, software, travel, taxes, and everything else that goes into running a business. 😭

You’re not just paying someone to “take a few pictures.” You’re paying for a service, a skill, and photos you’ll literally have for the rest of your life. You absolutely do not have to hire a photographer outside of your budget. But can we PLEASE retire “doesn’t cost an arm and a leg” like us photographers are out here accepting limbs as deposits? 😂
