Sometimes the best photographs are the ones you never planned.

We were driving home from Mi Tequila Mexican Restaurant yesterday when this incredible sky stopped me in my tracks. I knew a nearby spot where I could get a clean view of the horizon without a lot of interruption, so Tamara patiently tolerated another one of my photography detours. Lol.

We ran home, grabbed the camera, and chased the light before it disappeared.

I’m glad we did. Moments like this are a reminder that some of the most memorable images happen when you simply notice what’s unfolding in front of you and take the time to go after it.

Lola’s senior session was such a fun one to photograph!

Lola is a senior at Eastwood High School, and we spent the evening along the water at the Port Clinton Yacht Club creating a session that felt completely her.

From navigating her sailboat to stepping into the water in that beautiful pink dress, we were able to capture a great mix of personality, movement, and beautiful scenery. I especially loved incorporating sailing into her session because it made the images feel personal and helped tell more of her story.

A little preview of what’s ahead for the Hancock Historical Museum Historic Barn Tour on September 12!

There is something special about the barns that dot the Hancock County countryside. Each one has its own character, history, and connection to the families and communities that have shaped this area for generations.

I’ve had the opportunity to photograph barns for last event and for this year’s tour, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of these beautiful pieces of local history.

What a fun senior session with Cadence! 📸

We had such a great evening creating a variety of looks that felt natural, relaxed, and completely her. From the rich green and golden light, to the flowers, wooded trails, rustic red barn, and a few images that highlight her love of reading, there was no shortage of beautiful settings to work with.

Cadence has such an easy, genuine smile, and that definitely showed up in her images! Here's a little sneak peek from her session.

The Bowman Family

We managed to sneak this beautiful family session in between the week's rain showers, and I’m so glad we did!

From sweet family moments to plenty of laughter, the Bowman family gave us such a great mix of genuine connection and personality. We captured the whole family together, special moments between Mom and the girls, Dad and his daughters, and of course, Louis, their fur-baby. 🐾

I had a great time with Elyse yesterday while we captured her senior pictures!

From wildflower fields to downtown at sunset, Elyse's senior session captured a beautiful mix of natural beauty and timeless portraits.
