At Moon & Palm, your privacy is always a priority. As photographers, we have a responsibility not only to create beautiful imagery, but to be thoughtful about where, how, and why those images are shared.

With the growing use of publicly posted images to train generative AI-and the evolving legal landscape surrounding AI-generated imagery of children- we’ve made the decision to no longer publicly share identifiable images of children’s faces.

This doesn’t mean we’ll stop documenting the magic of your family. It simply means we’ll be more intentional about how those memories enter the public eye. We’ll continue finding the most beautiful, creative ways to tell your story while honoring the people who trusted us to tell it.

Your memories belong to you. Your children deserve privacy. And protecting both will always matter more to us than a post, a portfolio image, or a little extra engagement. 🌙🌴

Charleston engagement photographer confession: Victoria and Austin swore up and down that they’re too awkward in front of a camera. The azaleas at Dr. William H. Lacey Memorial Park would like to formally disagree.

This session played out like a live action romcom. Blooming spring color, a bridge built for dramatic exits, and two people who couldn’t stop laughing at each other long enough to hold a pose. Watching a newly engaged couple fall even further in love in front of the camera never gets old. It’s genuinely our favorite part of the job.

Well, hello South Carolina!👋🏼 We’re Allie + Georgie: best friends, business partners, and full-time chasers of love stories, good light, and the occasional dramatic view. We just packed up our lives and planted ourselves here, and honestly, a proper introduction felt overdue.

I’m Allie, freshly 30, wife, dog mom, and mother of two. Ask me about my new hobby farm and I will talk your ear off. When I’m not elbow-deep in the garden, I’m crocheting, buried in a book, or (let’s be honest) quietly crying behind the camera during your vows. Yes, every time. No, I will never apologize for it.

Some stories are celebrations. Others are goodbyes.

Thursday evening, we had the immeasurable honor of documenting one of the hardest kinds of sessions we will ever photograph: an end-of-life session.

This time, it wasn’t for a client. It was for family.

Sweet Koopa, Georgie’s beloved little girl, whom we rescued just ten months ago, was surrounded by the people who loved her most. Sassy until the end. Playful in between the quiet moments. So incredibly strong. It was as though she waited for her mama to make it home before her heart finally whispered, it’s okay now.

These sessions never get easier. Behind every frame is a room full of tears, trembling hands, and hearts trying desperately to memorize every tiny detail before goodbye. But they remind us why photography matters so deeply.

The last forehead kiss.
The gentle squeeze of a paw.
The way they still look at you with complete trust.
The final moments wrapped in the arms they’ve always called home.

These photographs cannot stop time. They cannot change the ending. But they become a place to return to when memories begin to soften around the edges. They preserve a love that deserves to be remembered exactly as it was.

Koopa, if love could have healed you, you would have never known a single moment of sickness.

Rest easy, beautiful girl. Thank you for every purr, every head bump, every ounce of your fierce little spirit. You were deeply, endlessly loved, and you will be dearly missed.

Hold your loved ones a little closer today; whether they have two legs or four. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give is simply making sure their final chapter is never forgotten. 🤍

To elope somewhere that feels alive.
Somewhere quiet.
Somewhere ancient.
Somewhere that reminds you how beautifully small you are.

There are places that don’t just become the backdrop to your wedding day, they become part of your story.

We still think about this sunrise elopement tucked into the forests of Oregon and we’re not entirely convinced our nervous system has returned to baseline.

Running across a mossy bridge in wedding attire?
A veil floating through the morning mist?
Towering trees standing witness like the oldest, quietest guests?

It felt sacred.

The kind of morning where every footstep echoes softly, the air is cool enough to catch your breath, and time seems to slow just for the two of you.

No crowds.
No rushing from one moment to the next.
Just two people wandering hand in hand through the forest, laughing, breathing it all in, and letting the day unfold exactly as it was meant to.

The greens were impossibly rich. Deep, moody, alive. It felt as though the forest wrapped itself around them and whispered, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

The way her lace caught the light against the shadows. The way they stood beneath those towering trees; calm, grounded, completely at home with one another.

Some places don’t just host a wedding.

They hold it.

And if you’ve been dreaming of an intimate celebration that feels intentional, wildly romantic, and a little bit magical…

Some love stories feel bigger than the landscape around them.

Standing at Rowena Crest, surrounded by endless hills, golden light, and skies that seem to stretch forever, these two somehow still managed to be the most breathtaking view.

The way they laugh. The way they reach for each other without thinking. The way they make every adventure feel like home.
