did I ask Brandon grab the side of Alyssa’s face? yes. did he feel a little awko taco about it but was still a good sport? yes. did this turn out so freaking cute? YES. sometimes you just gotta try things & sometimes it works out (sometimes it doesn’t & you have some funny photos to show 😂) & can we all appreciate Bryant’s face in the second photo because i think we can all feel like that when we see our parents cuddle lolllll. I had such a great time trekking around with these three, good people mann GOOD PEOPLE💕.

I love this session because it makes me feel something. I think that photography should be a balance between documentation of the people in it while telling a story about them. & I can say with certainty that for this session we did just that

cree & blake are eloping at zion national park so I got to do their engagement photos 🥰 they’re both so sweet, beautiful inside & out. their shoot felt like hanging out with an old friend & it kinda was because blake & my boyfriend, jordan, have known each other since elementary school. I get the pleasure of photographing a lot of romeo-ians & it’s just so cool to see everyone as adults but still feel that nostalgic connection of our hometown 🥰

suki & nick absolutely killed this shoot😍 they braved 80 degree heat in sweaters & leather, wore these heavy ass pumpkins on their heads with limited vision, & survived 750 million mosquitoes. overall though I think it was worth it because howwwww cool are these!?

sometimes I really wish I had the words the express how I feel without sounding so corny lolll. I just wanna tell all the people, families, couples, EVERYONE who lets me into a little slice of your lives & allow me to witness you & your loved ones in such an intimate, vulnerable way that I truly love & appreciate you so. freaking. much. sometimes it feels hard & scary to put yourself out there, especially in a creative field. & it’s easy to have self doubt & let your worry mind go in a million different scenarios. but the feeling I get when I sit down, edit & look back at these moments my heart swells. I know it’s such a beautiful thing to witness love in such an up close & personal way. & I am just so thankful. thank you to all you lovely humans, you’re the best

i have to say i’m so so grateful to clients/friends like Mitch & Jenica (& now Brady & Kaden), it means more than you guys know to be consistently asked to capture moments in your lives🥲 y’all are the bestttt, TRULY THE BEST💕

PS - a bit of advice for family portraits - once you guys get the details nailed down beforehand (outfits, date, location) is to just relax & lean into the moment once you arrive 🙂. I know it can be stressful leading up the shoot, but focusing on enjoying your people & having fun is where it’s at I promiseeee. plus you can’t really force kids to do what you want & have them look super happy at the same time anyways 😂 we just try to play & maneuver around them & I still think some really beautiful *authentic* moments happen ✨
