Last month we looked at "Depth & Distractions in Landscape Photography Composition" by Jane Palmer.

This month Jerry will demonstrate focus staking and we will look at "what makes this image work?" Reverse engineering of a photo - some tips for learning from photographs you like.

Thursday Jan. 2nd at 6:30 pm will be our next meeting. It will be at the Fergus Falls Public Library.

We will follow up on our discussion of targeted adjustments in Light Room from last month. We will also look at what is involved with taking and working with panorama pictures. The meeting is open to all interested persons. We hope to see you there.

This month the camera club meeting will be held the 2nd Thursday November 14th. 6:30 pm at the Fergus Falls public library.

Thursday Sept. 5, 6:30PM at the Fergus Falls Library will be our 1st meeting for the 2019 - 2020 season. If you have any pictures you would like to share please bring them along. If you have any you would like to send in to a N4C contest bring them along as well. We will also go over the rules for the different N4C contests and look at some basics tweaks you can do to improve the impact of your pictures and look at some examples of N4C winning photos. We hope to see you there.

June 4th was our last meeting until September. During the meeting we look at an excellent article by Craig McCord in the InFocus Newsletter from Visual Wilderness. The title of the article was How to Effectively Use Perspective in Landscape Photography. We looked at Linear, Height, Overlap, Atmospheric, Diminishing Size, and Forced Perspective as well as Tilting the Focus Plane, and the Schelmphlug Principal. During the meeting we also look at each others pictures and discussed them. We will post a beautiful picture by Jann Kline.

Heart O'Lakes Camera Club meeting Tuesday June 4, 2019 at the Fergus Falls Library, 6:30 PM. Bring a few photos to share.

On Tuesday May 7th at 6:30pm the camera club meeting will be held at the Fergus Falls Library. We will spend some of the evening judging the judges. We will look at some N4C contest winners and use the same criteria the judges used to place the pictures. By looking at and analyzing good pictures we should be able to improve our pictures. Hope to see you Tuesday evening.
